What To Expect In The 2019-2020 Season

Post#1 » by thomas1897 » Tue Jul 30, 2019 3:31 am

Will this collection of players be as good as advertised? How good will AD and Lebron play individually and together? Where do the others fit in? What will be the best starting 5? How good is the offense and defense? Coaching will Lebron or AD complain about playing and the coaching style? Also will the chemistry of the team be an issue? Can anyone answer these questions with accurate answers?

Fingers crossed that the Lakers meet the Clippers in the Playoffs, preferably in the Conference Finals.

If we don’t win it all in the next two years Jeanie needs to be go. We would have traded years of youth and painful rebuilding for ad kuzma and a soon to retire lebron and no rings. It’s kind of amazing when you think about how this team could have been zo/dlo/Ingram/Randle/zubac w kuzma and hart off the bench. **** on them all you want but so far by years 3-4 these guys have shown drastic improvement. It’s championship or bust for me. Klutch wants to run the lakers, klutch better deliver. You mortgage the future, you better have something to show for it in the present.

That stern note aside, I think we have one of the best shots out there to win it all barring injury
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

I expect LBJ to not allow Leonard to be the king of LA.

That means he needs to play defense like he hasn’t in a couple of seasons, and that he should want to d up on Kawhi one v one like Kobe would. Does he have it in him? We’ll see. His defense will determine our season.

davis always have risk of injury at back probably the reason why he dont want to play the 5. our death lineup is cook/caruso, green, lebron, kuzma and AD which would space the floor nicely for lebron to atk the rim on kuzma or ad pick and roll with cook and green in the corner for catch and shoot three. need to run a crisp pick and roll to create mismatch that would lure 2nd defender away to create someone open. 2nd unit would be runned by rondo with dwight as a wall to create mismatch post up for him. second unit would need to focus on kuzma as a scorer and rondo as passer, dwight as rim runner and blocker, caruso or cook as a shooter.

Danny Green might turn out to be the most under-appreciated player.
