It became a rivalry when Balmer took over and he and Doc started throwing shade at the Lakers, despite the fact they were renting staples from us (basically)... It's more of a rivalry because Balmer is clearly trying to promote the Clippers as the premier team in LA. He has the express purpose of trying to replace the Lakers as the biggest draw in LA.

So on one hand, the Clippers team has never really been a threat on the court before this season, and even though they are this season, Kawhi and Paul George just aren't the kind of personalities that can unite a city like LA... So even if they win this season, it's going to be awkward for them, and they still won't be the premier team in LA... Yet.
On the other hand, you still have the Clippers covering jerseys and **** when they play at Staples... Weak.

That and nobody was more happy than Balmer to help Kawhi and UnkleDick sandbag the Lakers this free agency...

Personally, I think they should STFU until they get their own house, like grown folks...

Well, Clippers and Lakers are paying rent because it's really the Kings arena so that dig about the Clippers renting from Lakers is false...
AEG owns the arena and kings. They also own a large portion of the Lakers. Second to the buss Family. If the buss were ever to sell, they have the rights on first dibs to buy.

They the Lakers technically own the arena. Lol

AEG owns 30 percent of the Lakers and give up percentages on all ticket sales to AEG so still, they're paying to use it as well...lol

Yeah but it's technically the Lakers ownership group owning it. That's why balmer wants to move out.

I hope we get to see an LA WCF showdown and not before or not at all. I am really looking for to it for the competition and the comments after each game. Some fans really take this "rivalry" extra serious!

Imo, both teams got Houston coming up. Beating Houston is just as important! Imo they're a contender and theyre making noise. I don't think fans should be sleeping on Houston.

Looks like Ballmer is just going to buy the Forum to avoid more issues with MSG and their lawsuits trying to stop their new arena.

Clips should move to Seattle .
Ballmer has a real complex . He’s made it his mission to take over this town even trying to buy the arena where the Lakers became the darlings of LA and of the NBA.
He has no shame .

No better way to say fk the Lakers than to buy the old arena and then demolish it

Bucks lost to the heat. Same gameplan Toronto used. Force giannis to shoot, build the wall to stop his drives.

Not if it is declared a landmark. You have to put it to a public vote

Troy Daniels signs with the Mcnuggets. He cannot be a part of their playoff roster , correct?

cuz if he is, i can totally see him shooting the lights out against us if we play against them.

He was waived March1st i believe.

He can. He was waived by March 1st
Eligible for the playoffs

Troy Daniels is a no body, no offense to him. Before he joined the Lakers, I'm pretty sure no one knew who he was outside of phoneix maybe.

He's not going to be a difference maker for the nuggets IMO
