The schedule was pretty easy so far. But there is a lot more potential to get from this team as well.

Isn't it great?

I would be shocked if cp3 was this quiet next game. Rondo vs cp3 is also something to watch for.

I'm not sure CP3 gives a rip anymore. He got his giant $$$$ contract, and he knows he's not gonna win a title. He's got no fight in him now. Just cashin' checks....

Another tryhard team who is not making the playoffs. The always play their A game when they face the Lakers.

Next game is a trap game if the Lakers think it is going to be the same game .. teams always adjust for the 2nd of their back to back I always recall whenever we played the same team consecutively we seem to lose the 2nd one (or vice versa). Then heading into memphis immediately will be tiring.. I'd be cautious w how we come out of this road trip..

ESPN has them at 11th in strength of schedule.

B-ball reference has them at 2nd in SRS (point differential and strength of schedule).

Possibly, but im also of the thought that schroeder was just playing out of his mind. Dude was hittin eveeything, until the rest picked up the slack. I mean he wasnt missing. I think hes a bench player who led the team in scoring last night. Now, we were jackin off and shouldve put the game away a long time ago, but dayyum, i believe that was an anomaly, that kept them in the game.

We can't adjust too?
It feels like the main thing is it's going to be on their floor. I still think we win this one a little easier.

I have wanting to open a thread about the hate on Rondo on this board. It needs to stop. We were s***ting on him in the Hawks game because we were up by 25 when he came in the game the we were only up by 10 at the half.
I rewatched the game and noticed that of all the trips that we came up empty on that stretch Rondo was only responsible for one. The rest were easy lay ups misses and wide open 3’s that the rest of the team missed.
The what really ticked me off was that Rondo started the third and by the time he was subbed out we were up by 26 points and nobody gave him credit for it. It was all about his +- when he first came into the game.

We’re about to see what this team is made of over the next two or three weeks.

LeBron has been a scorer his entire career. Rondo doesn't have anything to do with it.

I find this strength of schedule really odd. They have a lot of beaten bad teams like the Hornets, Hawks, Grizz, Bulls etc and good teams missing key players like Miami, Utah (Bogdanovic) and Warriors all at home. Needed key baskets to beat Dallas in OT and a couple of critical 3's to beat Phoenix.

BBref has Lakers at 19th.

Still, the Lakers were expected to take a couple months to build chemistry on a new team.

Can you say they've had an easy schedule and that chemistry is already at 100%? I don't think you can. I believe the schedule was a little easy and the chemistry has improved since the season began. The Laker team over the next month will be better than the team that played the previous month.

For the Lakers this season, there are going to be no easy games... It's pretty clear every team is bringing their A game against us and it's also clear that the word is out that our superstars aren't going to get the whistles they're used to.
So I think we can use what we've seen so far to assess our strength of schedule... We've had how many easy games? Maybe 1 or 2?

Thunder (again), Grizzlies & the Spurs are the next three matchups. That's three of the bottom six in the west. You can take any algorithm used to calculate the strength of the schedule but it's pretty damn obvious that it has been ridiculous easy so far.

Which is not an indictment at all. Great teams are supposed to get it done against the weak. I just hope AD is not playing hurt right now b/c it would have been a good time as any this season to let him heal up.

So you are going to take one game vs a lottery team vs the large sample size that shows they dont work together? And lol at those stats, Lebron never needed Rondo to score...Rondo was playing vs the mavs? :D

Very small sample size indeed, esp against bad teams. Rondo is such a great passer tho, that it's not just Lebron benefiting but also guys like Caruso and Kuzma.
I think we should wait until January 1st before we can really see what this team are made of, after going to road trips against legit teams like the Bucks, Utah, Heat etc.
