hi guys, coming back to LA for the first time in almost 20 years this christmas - lived in there when i was a kid from 1999-2001 (hence my lakers fandom).

going to try to hit Lakers/Mavericks on the 29th - have never been to Staples before... any advice on seating at Staples/buying tickets for a long-time poster..?

happy to pay more for good seats but want to get good value for money. looking at Stubhub i'm looking at $600-800 per for lower level sideline... is this best place to sit?

Honestly.. its worth it to pay more than to sit in the 300 section (nosebleeds). Staples is so big that your view is pretty crappy from the 300 section.

I always found that the best value are the premiere tickets on the corner of the court.. (not directly behind the backboard but at an angle). You can get tix for roughly $120 ea and theyre a good view imo.

Though thats what I do to watch 4-7 games a year. Since you will be here once I would recommend payin for the sideline view seats if you can afford it. Get there early and grab some drinks in LA live and get the full experience... they have done ALOT renovating that whole area.. its way better than the forum .

The front rows of 300 level can be had at decent value and in my opinion a better fan experience. I try to target the first couple of rows in 301 or 318 (or that vicinity). I prefer to sit with real basketball fans. The corners in 100 level have a better view than you think. I get annoyed sometimes in 100 due to all the people ordering wine which is ridiculous, leaving their seat a thousand times and yacking on the phone. I live in San Diego so I like to drive up get a room at the LA Live Marriott (duck that post game traffic), hang out, dinner and drinks, go to the game, then breakfast at Roscoes in the morning.
