Wow, I didn't even watch the game so I could spend a date night with the lady. I'm stunned and quite proud. When Rondo plays at that level, this team is impossible to beat.

Amazing to still come up with a win and get much needed rest to the vets.

Nights like tonight make me feel better about our chances of a title. This team has depth and potential in there, besides our big-2. Without taking either of our stars out of their 'game'....we need to figure out how to get more from the other guys.

Do we sit Lebron and AD a few more minutes each night? Does Vogel talk to Lebron about having Rondo run the ball with more pace a few more times each game? I don't have the answer. But if we want to win a title, I think we're gonna need to think deeper. Not drastically, mind you. I'm not advocating a 'new dawn' here. But I just hope Lebron and Vogel lay their respective heads down to sleep tonight with new thoughts about what the other guys are capable of.

This is what you love to see. Great chemistry and a team wanting to play with each other. Best win of the season.

Kuzma with a "I want to remain a Laker" performance.

Probably the best win of the season because of our stars resting.

He's not getting 24 shots every night though, he is not good as a 6th man...

Pelinka - do not pick up your phone from other teams trying to trade for Kuz unless your voicemails contain Godfather’s type offers!

Sorry I was busy watching the nfl playoffs not a meaningless regular season game against a treadmill team. Rondo is still straight trash. One game isn’t changing anyone’s mind or the seasons statistics of his net rating w our star players. If anything, after watching the highlights now he got easy buckets bc cp3 sagged off him and he STILL allowed rondo to blow by him to the rim. So glad he can beat a 35 year old to the rim. I’m sure it will be helpful vs the clips or bucks. And when sga or Schroeder guarded him, they played dummy defense guarding him up close, which no smart team or coach would alllow. Regardless, he can clearly playmake and I would love for him to play when lebron sits. Lebron is our pg, rondo is our backup pg, so why does Vogel play them together? That’s when we get really effed. And lastly, if rondo actually had the ability to sustain this level of play I’d be thrilled, but realistically he doesn’t. Just from a style of play perspective and what they bring to the table, even watching last nights performance u can tell Caruso and cook are better suited to play with lebron. In the end you have to ask yourself if the team and minutes should be built around ad and lebron or rondo.

The performances I thought should translate over most later in the season were from from Kuzma and cook. It’s clear to me cook needs more mins when bron is out there. Kuzma made hard shots against a defense that was keyed in on him as our primary scorer and if he can get going it’s huge for us.

Ya I don't get why he doesn't start in the 2nd Q. Undersized shooting PGs have thrived next to Lebron.

I think you have to admit that Rondo played a great game. The issue that he just doesn't fit next to Lebron still remains, however.

Love the way Kuzma's been playing lately. 26 ppg and 40% from three's over the past three games. Hopefully he has fully recovered from his pre season foot injury and doesn't have a relapse. He's going to be a difference maker for the rest of the year if he can be consistent.

I guess you have a low standard if you think a 3/9 game is a good game.

He's shooting 10% on threes this month.

In his post-game interview he basically said he wants to play more minutes and take more shots. While he is probably a good volume scorer, that's not what the team needs from him when healthy. Most guys will have no problem scoring above their average when given more minutes and touches. I hope he can find that efficiency with less shots.

You love talking about how you "put me on ignore," but you continue to talk about me all the time. It's very strange.

Anyway, I didn't watch the game today. I saw 3 starters weren't playing and thought why bother. And no, I'm not mad that they won, for the record. I'd love for the Lakers to do well without LeBron so he doesn't have to play so much. Usually they can't, but today they did, and now they have a 5 game lead for the #1 spot. Soo much to be mad about.

Hey... at least you're self aware.....

Nice stat sheet analysis... If you had watched the games, or joined the GTs, you'd have seen the impact Rondo had... Obsessing with 3pt% seems like an agenda-driven thing... Everyone knows Rondo isn't a great 3pt shooter and never was... But he's also been terrible on D and been slow on offense, until the last few games, when he's been playing solid D, pushing the pace, and protecting the ball.
You'd also have seen a lot of posters praising his play...

Yeah... While a lot of guys are reading his last few games as a statement about wanting to STAY-N-LA!, I think it may be more about finding a better fit elsewhere... I think he's looking for a starting role somewhere else and playing well hopefully opens up the market...
I also suspect Pelinka has said they'll work on doing an extend/trade for him if he can find a suitor willing to pay what he wants from his next contract... And if he plays like he has been, that number could be pretty nice.

I think a fair message is play me more and give me a green light. Vogle has skated by without actually treating him like a sixth man all year as well. He does not come in with a green light to shoot well. He does not get the green light to dribble. He does not get 28-30 minutes. He does not get a guaranteed close. And honestly it is the main problem, not him starting or any other bs.

Ginobili, Kukoc, Jet, Horry, Odom all got their minutes guaranteed on a night espite misses or screw ups. They got their time done despite cold streaks and they knew they would close and be trusted. Vogle hasn't done it with 20 - 23 mins ang 8-10 shots a night.

Rob knows the story of Kobe too. He knows what it is like to bench talent and have them feel depressed and like they aren't being respected. Kobe is his mentor, Kobe agent is his GM, so they may see something in Kuz. Like I saygive Kuz the bench green light and 28 minutes or let him start in place of Green
