The buy out market thread
I figure we’ll be all up on that.

Re: The buy out market thread
There's a slight chance the Pistons might buy out Reggie Jackson. He might not be a bad option in case we strike out on Collison.

Re: The buy out market thread
Other than Collison who could come in at the expense of Cousins, there's really not a single viable candidate out there that I would cut someone on the roster to acquire.
I think the threshold becomes "is this player better than Daniels, who is a career 40% 3 point shooter and can help win you a playoff game off of that skill alone?"

what is it that you all actually need...I'd say get rid of Jared Dudley for Jeff Green and sign Darren Collison if he comes back...Otherwise i'm not seeing a need unless you also want to bring in someone like JR Smith over troy daniels.

Why are we releasing veterans when they can contribute. Kostas is taking up a spot. The Lakers can’t worry about his brother 2 years from now.

Kostas is a two way player.

Re: The buy out market thread
If Collison needs to be convinced, I'm not sure why we're bothering... That never works out for us.
And I'd have been a lot more comfortable with someone else sitting with Collison instead of Jeannie. She may be nice, but wouldn't you want a basketball person talking to him?
This just smacks of, "We know he isn't coming, but lets make a show of 'recruiting' him."

Re: The buy out market thread
My gut tells me we shouldn't cut Cousins. Even if he isn't the player he used to be, he's the personality this team needs dearly.
Anyway, buyouts... Tyler Johnson, and Marvin Williams might be interesting. Maybe MKG too...

Re: The buy out market thread
Yeah, I’m sure AD will be upset with management if they cut Cousins now. Plus having the luxury of potentially having a crazy big man rotation in the playoffs would be beneficial as well.
I say we look at Jeff Green, Marvin Williams, possibly if bought out Reggie Jackson, and Darren Collison. **** NO TO JR SMITH...

I'd almost be willing to give Jamal Crawford a call... He was still shooting 40% from 3 last season.

If Cousins plays AD won’t have to play center

Unless Vogel decides he needs to go small to matchup against the Warriors small ball lineup... (that doesn't sound funny at first but then you realize GSW is dead last in the league right now)...

Yeah... a Jehovah's Witness with a woman who posed nude in our old arena... Something misaligned there.
