God this sucks. We're stuck with Rondo, might as well cancel the season. It's a wrap.

This is something he should’ve already had figured out before he took part in a recruiting trip with Jeannie.

Fairly a uprising. Moderately disappointing. Not the end of the world though.

To me, this would have been like the Ramon Sessions acquisition. Yes it would have helped and made the team look better during the season, but Collison is not going to make or break this team’s championship aspirations, just like Sessions ultimately didn’t. At the end of the day, if the Lakers win it all it’s going to be because of two guys and two guys only, Lebron and AD.

Not surprised at all... The whole recruiting thing sealed it for me. No reason at all for that, and nothing good comes from it.

I think he wanted to come back then Kobe died and he's like eh I don't know anymore. And started thinking about his family.

I don't know why Jeannie did that. Rolled out the red carpet for a role player. I agree with Kilroy, it wasn't a good look. It's either you want to join the Lakers or you don't.

Kobe said it best if you need convincing then you're not meant to be one.

Damn, that's it then. Unless Lakers have cooked up a system for when Bron sits in secret, they will lose too much ground on teams in the playoffs.

Beating the same drum here but he retired because he felt he was missing out on his religious and family time. NMatt Barnes even said as much on the Jump and he is a former UCLA guy too and was a former teammate, as was Hollins, who said DC told everyone he needed to the break to talk with his family and hear what teams were saying before he decided his future.

Then Kobe happened. And the consensus literally is Kobe was happiest with his family. Kobe missed a ton of time with family and loved every second he got now, and then he died very young. That likely gave DC pause as he is young and realized he can't get back that missed birthday, that missed trip to the park or taking his kids to school if something happened and basketball isn't more important than that, nor is money as he made cash already.

Eh I heard one person on Whitlock show argue that the red carpet wasn't for Collison it was for Duffy, his agent who was with them and who had a relationship with her father.

Nonethess, still lame. Reeks of desperation.

He knows cousins, LeBron and rondo really well. Those guys should ask him to come.

And he should discuss his role with the coach and that's it. All this flowery bullsh..not needed. It doesn't look good that the Lakers are begging a domestic abuser to come on board

(Doesn't mean he's still one but he pleaded guilty to hurting his high school sweetheart wife)

You simply tell him you down or you not. You're wasting our time. We need a decision.. "we're the Lakers."

Jerry West isn't doing all this wooing and he's getting the players he wants

I wouldn't take what pundits shows say on tv seriously. Including the guest " reporters" they sometimes have on.

Ric bucher is a joke. They're pundits. That's all. The only guest reporter that has any credibility is Chris Haynes. The rest, bucher, broussard, etc don't believe anything they say

You're welcome, Laker fan.

Dude are you going to troll anytime I post? Who says I have to hate the Lakers because I like another team/player more?

Grow up dude.

You’re on realgm not some one team forum, other team fans are going to post lol. Report a post if you think the guy is breaking the rules, otherwise this act getting kinda old tbh.

What rules would I be breaking? Are other fans not allowed to post on team forums? None of my posts are trolling or being antagonistic.

Really don't see what's so antagonistic of saying the Lakers brand should be above rolling the red carpet for a roll player. That means it's highly respected brand. I'm agreeing with a moderator for Christ sakes LOL.

The guy is just in his feelings. I don't hate the Lakers. He's taking it way too personal. I am still a LeBron fan.

As a player for several years, he knew the demands and what is expected, he knew his priorities so the question is why come and meet Jeannie and company in the first place? The question is was he offended in any way? Was he turned off by what he saw from the team, how they play, the drama perhaps?

Let's get Tyler Johnson and not Dion Waiters.

I rather have JR than them all to be honest because he has the ability to score, he can defend the actual swing man spot, and he has range. He also knows actual playoff games and finals games feel like. People remember the bad and it was bad, but he had a lot of good playoff moments too on both ends in his career.

I think I would even take Lance back because he knows the team, the city, the coach, and caused no problem last year

so this is it we will never get anything in the buyout market either ..this team needs a break .the all star break will be big for the lakers. i hope kuzma's swag will be back he will be big for us if he plays bad throughout the year we are done no way we can win without a legit 3rd scorer
hope he work on his game not on his hair or pregame suit
