What a strange year this has been.
One of the worst years I can remember and I'm not just speaking from sports perspective.

The police sanctioned murders need to stop. If ending the season helps, I’m all behind it. Peacefully and mindfully using the NBA superstar megaphone for increased justice, peace and understanding is a very good way of using it. This is a very good way of using your fame and influence; to force progress in the fairness part of the world.

The injustice is insane. A self proclaimed vigilante white 17 year old fool with a rifle can walk down the street and shoot peacefully protesting people without getting stopped by the police. Meanwhile, an innocent man gets shot in the back seven times; by the police, because of being black. This just within the span of a few days. Again. Going back to 1968 took us less than four years.

I’d give the owners AND the NBA a tight deadline of a substantial and radical action plan. Until then, season over.

Looks like Lilard left the bubble. So he is officially out for this round if it takes two weeks to quarantine.

Lakers ain't losing game 5. So he was out regardless. Plus with the minutes he's been logging all year and in the bubble he shouldn't come back anyway. Guy was averaging like 40 mins a game before the playoffs

Injured his groin before covid playing so many damn mins

He didn’t seem too happy after the doctors inspected his knee end of game. I guess they must’ve been right.

Too bad but we were killing them off in this game anyway.

I wonder when game 5 will be played.

Finally we are back to basketball and no more politics.

Politics will always be part of basketball. You're watching a sport where the majority of players are African American. It comes with the territory.

I am not saying you are wrong about the Lakers not losing game 5 but they need to be prepared for everything that might happen. I've been watching this sport for 40 years and I am a believer of law of averages. Lakers seemed fully prepared to minimize Lillard but now he's out and now should be replaced by a quicker/faster Simon. Portland will likely play loose and let it fly from the 3pt area and Melo, Trent, Simon etc can get hot from there. AD who was on fire from 16 feet might eventually cool down.
Some interesting stats for 5 games.
1. Most of us grumbled and moaned about Green's struggles from the 3, well after 5 games, he's 3rd highest in the team at 40%, actually 2nd if you don't count Cook's garbage mins. AD still suck at 25%
2. From shooting a really good 85% from FT line, AD is now just averaging 67.4%
3. James has maintained his high 10.3 assists/game but is averaging 4 turnovers.
4. Portland is just shooting 47.8% EFG%, with an ORTG OF 103.1 and their season ave was 53% on 113.7 (3RD in the league)

Yep, time to finish this series and get some critical practice time in before Houston.

Hopefully team comes out with a sense of urgency to finish them off as soon as possible. It would be huge to finish tomorrow to have some days to prepare the Houston series while they play a 6-7 game series vs OKC.

I think lebron planned this out perfectly. Didn't rush to a game 1 win. But allowed the others to see what they needed to work on and do for games 2, 3, 4. This bubble has had me worried about the shooting. But they've answered some questions. Like they know what they need to do, and thus far, they have responded. Tonite, we close these guys out.

I hope AD has a fire under him and proves he should be DPOY.
