Center position looking thin?

Post#1 » by SlimShady83 » Thu Nov 19, 2020 5:47 am

Yo Yo Yo .. It's almost Piss up Friday, but at least it's warm up Thursday hahaha (I'm Aus)

Center position looking a little thin?

Howard recently saying he wants to get paid over winning IMO we should lose him as we want players that want to win

This reason I want Ibaka - Ibaka said he wants to win, we should lose Howard and Mcgee asap - we already looking at losing Mcgee let's lose their contracts asap and sign Ibaka using Howard/mcgee contracts

That leaves us ...

Ibaka, Cousins - let's hope Cousins is at least 70% healthy :) we need a 3rd Center

who is it gonna be?

Edit: wait a sec is Ibaka FA or Restricted?
We need him.

Ibaka isnt coming for the non tax paying MLE, if he does, OMFG Rob Pelinka is GOAT GM, but i aint gonna bet on it.

Team is better off hoping Javale opts in, throw vet mins at Boogie, Noel, Kieff and any other young bigs with some potential. Hell i'd be willing to throw the BAE at Noel TBH. Although i'd prefer to use the BAE on Moe Harkless, but if the Lkaers cant get a stop notch role player for the full non tax payer MLE (9.4ish mil), then i'd cut it up and get any many decent role players as i can.

NYN didn't pick up Taj Gibson's option making him a UFA. I think he is worth a look.

Well we're keeping McGee, so that helps at least for the reg season.

Javale and AD are coming back. We just need our full time C because Javale is only good for a limited time and AD is our full time 4. Cousins will be a good addition but I still have doubts because he is injury prone. Ibaka is ideal if we could get him or even maybe Steven Adams. I like him if there is a possibility to get him.

Anyway's I just want a C who could play D and grab boards. That's basically what we need.

Ibaka is the dream scenario. If no dice I wonder if Derrick Favors could be had for cheap.

I’m expecting Kostas to deliver if he gets minutes. He’s ready.

JMG, Kostas, DMC is okay with me until TD.

Adding one of Noël, Ibaka, Portis would be smart given the unknown of DMC and Kostas.

Adams? He’d be the perfect center for this team. If Rob can swing that he’s MFGGMOAT!

Ibaka is the dream but they aren’t going multiyear with any player except the obvious.
More likely
1. Noel
2. Portis
3.Taj but I think he’s under sized and old

Noel would be the best option at this point because we need a true big to play against Denver now.
Unless ofcourse Dwight comes back

We went into late offseason last year with only McGee when cousins was hurt, and Dwight came out of nowhere for nothing. Backup, and even starting, center seems at the moment to be one of the easiest to pull out nowhere. I’m not worried about coming up with 1, or even 2 if javale is dealt in any trade, this offseason. AD will at least be center 1B when it matters anyway.

He opted in but I think might still be traded.
