I don't know if he'll come back to the Lakers but I'm really curious what happens with DC... So I'm starting this:

I hope we bring him back. I would like to see him have a good career comeback like Howard did.

I think he's probably cooked physically but worth a shot on a minimum contract.

great minimum pickup. worth another shot. if he gets hurt again, his career is likely over.

What are chances we get baynes? I like cousins for sentimental reasons but we quickly running out of money unless we package trade. We still need ready-to-go rim protectors and a wing defender to replace green. Not sure Mathews is enough there.

Add Josh Jackson.
I’m hoping DMC returns to decent form. It’s possible. If he does, holy crap! Can’t bank on it.
Ibaka, Kostas, DMC would be a good center rotation. Kostas will blow up soon.
I’d also explore a trade for Steven Adams. Hell, I’d offer a S&T Harrell, JMG, DMC, Cacok, future pick, cash, whatever. Just keep Kostas.
And somehow still get Ibaka.
Adams, Ibaka, Kostas. That’s close to an ideal C rotation for us.

Jackson's already signed with Detroit.

Good luck to Cousins, but I think it's time to give up on him as a Laker. Just can't depend on him to stay healthy

I hope he comes back in decent shape and gets to play two more seasons without riding the pine.
However, if such an injury ever were to be the tragic ending of his career, we’d have an injury exception to envoke.

I think DMC is done. He injured himself on a non contact simple basketball move. No way he can take the contact of an NBA game

Well, we’ve kept him close and should know better than any other team if his physical state after all his rehabbing is worth a contract.
I’m confident Rob won’t bank the season on DMC’s health.
However, no matter how slow and old, DMC can still pass, set hard picks, eat up space in the paint, bruise smaller opposing big men up, draw fouls, shoot some pick and pop threes etc.

We really don't want Cousins. Boogie is the past, most likely doesn't have a future. We are in the now and need guys that can contribute from day 1. Too many good options out there at the 5 to take a chance on Cousins. Let's get a sure thing.

There’s absolutely no way they can use a roster spot on him when they’ll need ready and able bodies eating up minutes after such a short offseason.

Valid point, but every team in the league has at least one dude who never plays... I think Cousins could do 8-10 or so min a game during the season and build up his conditioning and strength... Especially at the min... The upside could be huge...
That said, it's more of a good story than a basketball necessity... I still think Kuz is a bad fit... In fact I think he's a worse fit now than he was at the end of the season... I think we need to find a way to package him and bring back a wing.

How many here follow the Southbay Lakers? I don’t, but I’m a big believer in Kostas’ future. I simply don’t see a ceiling.
I’d like to believe that Rob will more or less pressure Vogel into using him as a rotation player (ready or not) to get him up to speed come playoffs time.
This, of course not just due to his brother etc, but also because he’s actually a really good player already and he’ll need to be ready to man the five. To quote an old adage, just add minutes. And muscles, I guess.

Even if 70% he is still deadly - keep him and sign Pau Gasol
...
If Cousins gets injured again, give Pau Cousins minutes

Boogie as a vet min is a no brained. Future stretch center.
I also like giving our South Bay guys a contract. Then we can add others to the G-league and 2-way contracts.
