Smith, Rachel Nichols, and Jemele Hill, as he is tired of always being the butt of jokes during his entire 12-year career. Do you feel bad for him? One thing Kwame was good at was defense. His offense was very limited. The number one thing I vividly remember from Kwame during his Lakers days are his brick hands. He just couldn't catch that ball and it plagued him throughout his career. Plus he was a short center in an era of giant bruising centers.

That's all I got on him...Oh and his little social media rants was bound to happen. Dude has been taking so much crap from people and not say a word for years. I don't blame him.

It’s weird. Every time someone asks me how I feel about Kwame Brown, I somehow drop the ball.

Edit: easy for white peeps who would never make it to the NBA to go on TV and make fun of Kwame. Not so easy to make it into the NBA.

I liked Kwame. He was what he was - He'd have some great offensive games, a lot of meh games, and a lot of games where he couldn't catch a thing or missed dunks.

With that said: He was always a really good team defender and also a really good post defender. And off the court - he's been getting s**t on for a long time. I'm glad he's finally pushing back.

In regards to the actual topic of this thread, I watched a few bits of the videos he put out last nite because I was curious and I observed how foul-mouthed and bad attitudinal he is regarding all of this.

I get it, he is upset about all that is out there, and I dont blame the guy, but the way he is expressing it right now is not my cup of tea and makes me not want to defend the guy. Perennial criticism and poking fun is not fun but it comes w the territory when you are a public figure in a highly visible professional job like a basketball player, especially when there was a lot of expectation and you didnt deliver.
I would figure him being of a wiser age, he would be more discerning in thought and thus with a filter in language and retort, but I guess not.

The way he roasting Becky with the good hair, Stephen A. and Charlamagne has been pure gold. And he makes a lotta good points that nobody from the mainstream media wants to address, which just proves what he's saying.

Kwame as a player never developed his left and he been an injury prone his entire career. Far from a WOAT though, you don't be one of the worst players in the league and stay there for 10 years. Glad he finally defending himself.

Magic Johnson would've made Kwame Brown into a much better player than Michael Jordan did.

Magic's ability to effectively lead will always be the reason that I think he was better than Jordan.

Jordan destroyed guys and needed Phil Jackson's leadership to win rings. Magic just led by understanding spirit and encouragement.

If only Jordan had've slapped Kwame on the ass and whispered encouraging things in his ear the way Magic did with Vlade and Elden Campbell.

Worthy and Kareem both used to say, with Magic you had to always be paying attention because you never knew when the pass was coming and when it did, it was going to come at you hard. Magic laughed about guys messing up fingers if they weren't paying attention..

That's also part of the reason I laugh at guys like LeBron getting compared to Magic for their passing ability... Lebron's a good passer... Nash was a good passer... Kidd was a good passer... But none of those guys could touch magic's ability to deliver a pass with pin-point accuracy, through traffic, with the kind of heat on it that Magic did... If LeBron is a Quarterback, Magic was an MLB Closer... His passes were intimidating to guys trying to steal them.

Kwame’s potential was through the roof. Physically, he was built for (minus hands) being a basketball big man. Mentally ...

Doug Collins and Michael Jordan bullied him into fragile pieces. His confidence was destroyed. Like Jordan would destroy his opponents on the court, Kwame’s confidence was demolished.

If his offense and confidence matched his defense, he’d be a 22PPG 10RPG player every night. Always felt sorry for him, even when I called him names for both literally and figuratively dropping the ball in big moments of big games.

People should watch the Etan Thomas, White, Whitney, and Nesby video where they talk about how they did him in Washington l. Jordan kicking balls in the stand and telling him to fetch them all or be left by the team bus. Dog Collins making him come to games two hours early and running him to before shoot around non stop only to barely play him. Talking down to him everywhere they went and even singling him out they said when he didn’t play or do anything wrong and saying losses were his fault. Oakley trying to fight him if he talked back.

That’s 4 guys who were there totally speaking up for him which is huge.
