This is a solid signing and more importantly, $15M to aggregate for trades between him and THT come February.

This is how
I would also view THT, solid salary for a future trade, but I’m pretty convinced the Lakers think they have more in him than what he really is. I’m not expecting any big trades during the season.

I like this move alot. Doesn't fix the def but won't be a weak link and a good advanced shooter

All this guy can do is shoot 3s.
Too short to defend any other position but the 1. Not a good defender or playmaker.
If he doesnt drain 39%+ of his 3s at high volume, he's utterly worthless.
But he's gonna be left wide open, ALOT, while playing LBJ/AD/Westy. So if he wants to get paid, he better shoot like his life depended on it.

I'm surprised Nunn took less money to sign. Young player who hasn't had a big contract yet. Thought he would go somewhere for more playing time and shots instead of limited minutes backing up Westbrook

I think this signing has the highest upside. Nunn was looking real nice in the bubble. With proper tutelage from LeBron & Vogel he could very well grow into an impact player.

This is Laker Nation. You win with the Superstars. The rest find their roles and fit in. Nunn gets out of hand? We have the Stars to put him in his place, and conform. If they do not comply, the Top Dawgs will let him know. Therefore, it is a good signing as of today. He will himself reveal what he is in the future.

This guy might be the best shooter on the team. Last season, in only his second season in the NBA, he shot 49% from the field, 93% from the line, and 38% from three, making 2.2 threes per game on 5.7 attempts. He could end up being one of those rare 50/90/40 players. Nunn is underrated IMO. I would not be surprised if the Lakers utilize Nunn gets 28+ minutes per game. This would mean he gets minutes at both guard spots.

Does Rondo take his minutes? Seems Vigel has a hard on for Rondo. Lots of pressure on Nunn playing un hetween Westbrook and Rondo, especially come playoff time.

At first, I thought Rondo might be out of the regular rotation, and would "spot start" on games when Westbrook would be out due to load management, injury, etc. But, lately I have been thinking that 48 minutes of Westbrook and Rondo at PG could potentially produce something like 23ppg, 13rpg, and 16apg. So, maybe Rondo might be the regular backup? Nunn is too good to be relegated to the third-string PG, or maybe even back up SG. I could see Vogel giving serious consideration to Nunn as the starting shooting guard.

PG - Westbrook - Rondo
SG - Nunn - Monk - Ellington
C - Davis - Howard - Jordan
PF - Ariza - Anthony
SF - James - Tucker - Bazemore
