they're exhibit 10 contracts

it's a way to give the players an additional 50k bonus in addition to a g-league salary, to incentivize them to stay with a g league team instead of leaving overseas

McClung has looked good in summer league. His efficiency being so poor in college surprises me, considering how easy he looks to be creating offense in summer league, which has players with higher caliber athleticism than college.

Thank you, I thought they had signed exhibit 10 contracts in July.

I've followed McClung's college career fairly closely and he never had trouble getting shots up at either Georgetown or TTU - his efficiency problems have always been about shot selection and streaky outside shooting. The kid tends to shoot just as much when he's cold as when he's hot, and his extreme confidence also causes him to take some really bad shots from time to time.

his 3pt shooting % was terrible as a freshman but has slowly gotten better each year of college, and he shoots around 80% at the FT line, so there's potential there for him to improve. But he still tends to go through a lot of cold spells in his shooting - he's done a lot of offseason work the past couple years with shooting coaches and changing his mechanics, so I think he just needs more time and reps for that stuff to become muscle memory.

Cheers, he's definitely quite intriguing because of his intensity and feel for generating offence despite being challenged with size.

McClung and Reeves will hopefully be what Duncan Robinson is to the MIA, deadeye microwave 3pt shooter. If they provide anything else, that'll be gravy.

Gonna be LOTS of open shots while playing with the Laker superstars.

GSW has this exhibit 10 guard that I would love for the Lakers to add: JaQuori McLaughlin from UCSB.

Kid is steady, plays with patience and pace and a good shooter. He would be perfect to replace Bald Eagle.

McClung isn't a very good shooter and I worry about Reeves lack of NBA athleticism. I think Ayayi and Brown are better bets, but you never know.

If a young player’s main strength is his ball IQ, he’ll need high IQ players around him for that strength to shine. That could explain his bump in efficiency; rest of team plays the game the right way. It also explains why some athletic freaks lacking ball IQ fall flat when they get to the NBA.

Edit: after reading (!) the above about his conscience free shooting, is it more likely that it could simply be a case of more space … ?

Ayayi played like trash in the summer league, you can't even notice him being on the court, way too passive. McClung is a horrible 3pt shooter right now to be anything useful. Reeves needs time in G-league and Brown is the only one who may see some time in the regular season if injuries hit us really bad.

Was checking Mcclung's college stats and saw this guy Yurtseven. 7 footer who put up some decents stats. Looked him up....undrafted, but of course Miami picked him up
