So does Rondo get to be called the "new kid"?

Sounds like we're bringing him back after he clears waivers.

I'm fine with it, for the min. I think he works well in locker room alongside Lebron. At 35, he's a baby.

For what it's worth....I think the squad we had 2 years ago had some really great chemistry/comradery, and I think Rondo and Dwight were large part of that. I'm a little curious how Rondo and Westbrook coexist. Could be great, but it could get nasty before the month is out. I guess we'll find out

Rondo I'm thinking takes on more a sidelines player coach role. I think this will benefit both Nunn and Westbrook as I don't think either had a seasoned veteran pg player to mentor them in any of their seasons.

I've heard it through the grapevine..NBA gods have already designated Los Angeles LAKERS as NBA Champions in near future. The destiny is real. TRUST ME.

I’d love having Rondo back. Would be great for Nunn and THT. Westbrook, too.

I’m sure he’ll basically take over the Dudley role but actually be able to contribute on the court when called upon.

He'll play about 10-15 min a game and come playoff time, probably be main back up after Westbrook. Many people are looking at his results from clippers, but don't think he liked being a clipper - he'll be fine being a Laker :)

Rondo is a Lakers legend at this point.

Won the ring while almost being a legit 3rd option in 2020 while being paid the league minimum.
Got paid by Atlanta.
Went to the Clippers in exchange for Lou and a pick.
Got traded along with Beverley.
Waived and returns to LA again on a minimum salary contract.

Add to that list a game winner at the buzzer at the Garden for the Lakers against BOS albeit in a regular season game. That was such a dagger to them and sweet for us.

I love Rondo as a Laker. It's crazy because he wasn't just a small feature of The Celtics (like Fox) he was a big part of what made that Big 3 go, and at a time when we were battling for championships. Then he turns around and becomes a Laker Legend. Has there ever been such a hated rival to legend transformation? I don't know.

Meh on the signing. I agree with above. In the PO is the back up behind Westbrook. They should never be in the court at the same time tho
