After the debacle in the last game, what will change for the Lakers?

It's a very early game for LA, hope they are not lethargic.

Not much will change, Spurs are pretty bad but Pop always wants to win against us so he'll lit a fire under his players asses.

Nunn, Reaves, Bradley, Ariza, Lebron are all out but THT will make his debut.

I don't know how he'll look considering he's coming after surgery on his shooting hand, but his conditioning should be good considering he had a hand injury. We need him to play quite a few minutes with our wing depth in shambles, I can't take 30+ minutes of Bazemore anymore.

Starting lineup is Westbrook/Bradley/THT/Carmelo/Davis.

Anybody have the numbers on the effectiveness of the Rondo/Westbrook backcourt when Vogel plays them together?

The eyes tell me it's a trainwreck, but I need the numbers to affirm it.

Also, will there ever come a day where Vogel closes a game with Rondo over Westbrook? Maybe one of those games where Westbrook is flirting with double digit turnovers and shooting 2 for 12?

Westbrook has never had a backup PG who was smarter and a better floor general than him. Will Vogel ever have the intestinal fortitude to bench Westbrook at the end of a game?

Is Bradley in or out?

He has an ankle sprain and he was questionable. But apparently he's playing.

Alright:

PG - WESTBROOK - RONDO
SG - BRADLEY - MONK
C - DAVIS - HOWARD
PF - TUCKER - ANTHONY
SF - ELLINGTON - (TUCKER/BAZEMORE)

They need Anthony's offense off the bench. Even if he gets way more minutes than Ellington and closes the game.

Ro, you're lineup is accurate as the finishing five, not the starting five.

Starting lineup: Davis, Anthony, Bradley, Horton-Tucker, Westbrook.

Now that is something different. Who knows if it will work?

Personally, I would not have started Horton-Tucker in his first game of the season. Anthony and Bradley lead the team in three-point shooting percentage, though.

That was not my personal opinion.

That's the starting lineup for today confirmed by Vogel. Don't know who will close.

OK, I am confused, because you listed six players in boldface, and the twitter account for Spectrum has the list I gave.

It's a matter of personnel. I don't think THT would have started either if we had all able bodies

But words can't describe how bad Bazemore has played. He might be the worst starting player in the league. It's a desperate move, still rusty THT is miles better than current Bazemore.

And starting both Ellington/Monk and Carmelo would have been a nightmare defensively.

Hate to lose Melo’s pop off the bench. Still, this lineup looks like the team’s best option on paper. This team DESPERATELY needs another bigger wing. Bazemore is worthless.

THT fits into that mold. It's not the height that matters, it's the wingspan.

THT has a 7'1 wingspan, he played PF in college plenty of times. I reckon he can play as a small ball 4 as well in this league, that wingspan is bigman territory. Ariza will play a bit as well when he gets back.

Also props for a 10:30 PM game in my country.

The 5:30 AM games were starting to get to me a bit. It's even worse when we play on the road at 2-3 AM.

These West Coast overtime games are bad enough for anyone on the East Coast.

It’s not about THT, it’s about no Bazemore anymore. The team needs another wing for depth, and I’m not down with waiting for Ariza who is old and probably washed. Bazemore’s craptastic play has increased THT’s importance, but it’s also made getting another wing important as well. Maybe that’s just Reaves when he comes back I guess. I like his potential, but I don’t know that he’s quite ready yet.

Gotchu! I would've gone with Ellington over Anthony just so you have the possibility of getting a double digit scorer off the bench.

They have one already in Chaundee Brown. They just have to waive Huff and give Brown a two-way.
