Meh, not an upgrade and doesn’t even solve any positional issues.

Two trades that I think help us:

THT, Ellington -> Orlando
Terrence Ross, 2022 IND 2nd -> Lakers

Lakers upgrade their scoring on any given night, given Monk and Melo have shown the ability to go cold. At 6'6", Ross can play as a wing easier than THT can, which should be a need for us. The 2nd can be used to grab a Reaves-like gem, while trading Ellington also opens up a roster spot

Bazemore, 2023 CHI 2nd, 2025 LAL 2nd -> OKC
Kenrich Williams -> Lakers

Lakers gain an extra hustle player that can play as a wing defender, as well as shoot the ball at a reasonable clip

Westbrook - Nunn
Monk - Reaves - Bradley
Williams - Ross - Johnson
Bron - Melo - Ariza
AD - Dwight - Jordan

Lakers could also waive DJ in order to add up to two buyout guys

I’d cut out Miami and get wood.

Westbrook over John wall.... If it was for expiring contracts, I'd do it... But not for the same contract

Eric Gordon can be had for way cheaper....

A relentless rim attacking Westbrook who doesn't shoot, or handles the ball as much is definitely an asset. He just needs to be utilize properly. But to give it away to be stuck in the similar financial situation, with a player that might not even contribute, is not a great situation

Hello, Lakers fans!

What would you think about this deal?

For Los Angeles, it's Westbrook and Tucker for Hayward and Harris. You absorb salary for better fitting pieces around Lebron and Davis.

James, Bradley, Hayward, Harris, Davis
Monk, Reaves, Johnson, Anthony, Howard

There were a few people willing to do it for Smart/Schroder.

Our #1 Priority should be Marcus Smart... THT, Dunn & pick for Smart... Whatever it takes... Start him alongside Russ & if Russ blows up, bench him, Smart solves ALL of our issues... He plays defense, he is TOUGH, e can handle the ball & hit 3's...

Smart, Monk, Reaves/Stanley, LBJ & AD would be a SOLID team...

Morey wants nothing to do with Westbrick. He is holding out Ben Simmons or Harden sign and trade. We have to be realistic...Knicks or Rockets are our ONLY outs for a westbrick dump

Knicks seem like natural partners in a cost cutting trade for Westbrook if Lakers are willing to take on salary beyond the next two seasons. Fournier, Burks, Walker and Noel for Westbrook and a couple of minimum guys like Jordan and Bazemore would get done. We can turn around and shop THT, Nunn and pick for a bigger wing like Covington.
