In a press conference yesterday, LBJ did NOT get behind his coach like he should’ve. They asked if Frank is gone. If he isn’t gone, you’d think LBJ would’ve defended him, have his back.

Trade to upgrade roster and wait for AD first before blaming it all on the coach. Fizdale is also hot garbage. Is there a better coach out there?

I voted yes because there's really not getting much worse than this.

Sometimes a shock, a change even for lesser quality can be a positive in the end.


Vogel is not turning this thing around, people need to get real now. I can't see how a new coach, even an interim one can do any worse than we're doing right now. And even if there's a slim chance, there's a possibility he can do better.

So that's why I voted yes. I'd prefer an interim coach tho', start from scratch in the summer with somebody else.

You just can't change the whole roster on the go. It is what it is and that's what you will be working with. But you can always change the coach.

At least for this season, no firing Frank will not improve the team. Trading Westbrook will improve the team.

I don't think FV is the problem... I also am not a huge FV fan...

So I've got no dog in this fight... Maybe that's why I find myself alternately rooting for a huge turnaround and everyone to come together... And a spectacular and complete melt-down and implosion...

Until he fails with a new roster, save Frank.

Where are those fans who proclaimed him as a great coach after they win it all and last season too? A few even thought he was so good his great schemes and ability to communicate will make up for the departure of good defenders like KCP, Kuz, Caruso smh.
Having said that, firing Frank would not make this team better because the alternative is not goof either.
Jeannie and Rob should have met with the players after the Denver debacle, looked them in the eyes and demand an explanation from their lack of effort.
Firing Vogel is a lazy route.

No ... He only seems to know how to draw up; ISO PLAYS or pick n roles ... We need a coach who can teach this team to pass the damn ball more then twice on a single possession

I tend to agree with this. I am finding myself rooting for him knowing that Bron will not take one ounce of responsibility for forcing this POS team on him. In fact he's probably pushing behind the scenes to get him out.

I was thinking more about it, and I got to realizing... If Jeannie really wanted to send a message that might actually light a fire under this team, it'd be to fire Pelinka...
I mean, I think Pelinka is just the numbers guy for Klutch, or the guy that makes things they want to happen, work, but if this season is a disaster, then there's no logical way to remove at least a big part of the blame from him...

Give him until the deadline, if he hasn't made a huge splash, fire him, hand the reins over to Kupchack and let Klutch know the age of complete control and zero accountability was over...

Keep Vogel, because there's not really anyone better at this point...

Mitch Kupchak is GM of the Charlotte Hornets. He's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Jeannie Buss is not a good owner. He she had half a brain, she would've rehired Jerry West when they were searching for a replacement to Kupchak.

Jerry Buss let West go because Phil Jackson was deemed as necessary to keep winning rings, but Jackson ain't here anymore.

There was no reason to not bring West back in the fold. Seemingly only misguided emotions prevented her from doing the right thing.

For this, she is a bad owner. She is unable to do what's right for her business. No wonder why this franchise has almost completely lost it's way. Too many bad decisions being made.

The pizzazz is gone. It's been gone since West walked out that door.

Jeannie and Rambis seem to think that if they’re nice to everyone all will be fine. Sure, it will be if you’re an employee.

I’m not rooting for happy employees in an organization. I’m rooting for a team that needs to play defense to win.

Pelinka has no balls, Rich Paul is only interested in what LBJ wants. LBJ is not a GM but acts as if he is.

As if defense is close to being our biggest issue. Not long ago we were top 10 in defensive rating for the season. Now we're ranked around18th... this is with AD missing several games and COVID protocol causing other key players to miss several games. Prior to the start of the season I'm pretty sure I said I expected our defense to rank somewhere in the middle. I don't recall anyone saying they expected our defense to remain stellar. Stop making things up. You do a horrible job of disguising your agenda.

This questions is probably incomplete. Who are the alternatives? I can't think of a better replacement that is available right now. Replacing him with Fizdale would not improve this team. Replacing him with Pop or Spoelstra would improve this team.

Save Frank or not?
Save Frank for now. I'm ok with getting rid of Frank so long as you clean house including Pelinka and rebuild the roster. I think roster construction is most at fault for our shortcomings this season.

Pardon me for not being great in my 2nd spoken language. You said this.

That was a typo. I meant I do not expect a [b]significant drop to somewhere in the middle or toward the bottom.[/b] In a nutshell I think our defense will be fine. Vogel's defensive schemes are what made our defense great and not any individual player. It's not like Utah losing Gobert and replacing him with Towns.

for the sake of argument, I misunderstood, Lakers played like 15 games against very bad tanking teams like OKC, Rockets, Pistons, Kings etc etc. Starting Sunday, they play playoff teams, hopefully you are right, they stay in the Middle of pack in DRTG.
