Have to wonder why we were running a lineup with Westbrook, Monk and Ariza, when none of them are terribly good defenders...

That has always been my contention. Chemistry is Key. We threw it all away. Clearly a KCP, Caruso etc, would be more than enough to make up the difference. We didn't win with Kobe and Shaq alone. We had a Fish, Lue, Horry, Walton, etc...We need those experienced Guns, albeit role player Guns, but we need those Tested Guns in a Gun fight. We have untested and untrusted weapons going into battle. This will not end well for us. We have historical proof of that in our organization

Antetokounmpo and Middleton both with over 20 in the first half. Giannis hit all eight of his shots, including a couple from distance. Middleton is 8-13. NoseBleedLakers almost nailed it: they scored 78.

We look like the Washington Generals.

Quickest back to back turnovers? That’s gotta be a record.

Those last two possessions sum up Lakers’ season.

TOs after TOs. Giving up wide open 3 point shoots.

Points off turnovers, 23-5 Bucks. Lakers beat themselves again tonight. Bucks didn't even have to try.

Thing about the Bucks is, they execute so well that even when things go bad for them, they often end up with the ball... It's how we looked during our championship run and each championship run we've had...

I don't think Frank V is a bad coach... Actually what I think is, it's virtually impossible to "coach" a team with LeBron, because he basically runs the team at this point...
That said, this team need's a much better coach with a real system on both ends of the floor, and AD and LeBron need to suck it up and learn to play within that system...
this whole, 'Let LeBron and AD figure it out as they go' thing they do, is good enough for the second round tops...

To me it's not so much about letting Caruso and KCP go, or Howard, or Green... It's more about letting them go without a real plan to replace them and make improvements... IMO it actually started when they let Zubac bounce for nothing...
I feel like getting LeBron has enabled them to be lazy and now they're relying almost entirely on Klutch to build the team for them...

And they're going in the opposite direction...

We also went away from Lebrons schematic history as a player. Cleveland. Miami. Wherever he went, he's always been surrounded by shooters. And then we acquired Westbrook. Sided with Talent H Tucker. Avery Bradley. Its almost as if he sabotaged, or our Front Office sabotaged our Leader and Team Captains Style of play, that he's relied upon throughout his playing history. They sabotaged their own progress. Puzzling

Westbrook looks like he's pissed on the sidelines... Ariza was over trying to talk to him on the floor...

I have a feeling Vogel is going to take the fall for this mess.
He has not been at his best, specially organizing defensively , but he's not the reason for their lack of effort and heart.

I think it's fair to point out that all our best runs this season have come with 2 of our big 3s out...
Ok, I don't know that for absolute sure, but I'm pretty sure that's the case... LeBron sits tonight and our nobodys and AD bring the lead down to 11...

So I thought in his first year with us, AD made an argument that he might be better than Giannis... That argument is pretty much over at this point.

LeBron is great, but he's predictable, and a good defensive team can neutralize him pretty easily... AD is great but no longer in the best big in the league argument anymore...

Westbrook never should have been on the team...

I'm starting to think we can build around either AD or LeBron at this point, but not both... At least not if we want to win another trophy...

Hopefully how outclassed we looked against Milwaukee was a wake-up call for the entire organization...

Westbrook did not play the entire fourth quarter. A lot of steam behind the ears, I am sure, but at least Frank Vogel is going down swinging.

Good teams dont have to neutralize Lebron. We did a good job doing that ourselves with how this roster is constructed. Put Giannis on this team lets see what happens. You cant surround a player with brick layers and expect things to go swell. Look at the additions bucks have made and compare them to ours. That team is world class top to bottom. Defenders and shooters along with two other creators in Middelton and Jrue. We've got a 37 year old Lebron being our best player surrounded by guys like THT-Russ-Bradley-Ariza etc etc. AD and Lebron proved they could work when we won the chip.

Team isn't winning a chip anytime soon. What exactly could we get for Lebron? No team would give us a major haul that would drastically make us better. The window closed shut as soon as WB was brought in.

They panicked after last season. The injuries piled up and we were barely healthy. We should have ran it back. Instead we nuked the entire team. Now we're stuck with players i cant stand.

Reaves and Monk along with Stanley might be the only ones i like because they play with effort at least.

“The other day I saw one of his games. He was running with the ball at a hundred per cent full speed, I don’t know how many touches he took, maybe five or six, but the ball was glued to his foot. It’s practically impossible.”

Here’s my bold prediction for tomorrow…if Russ isn’t traded he will be demoted to the bench. Vogels statements after tonight’s loss are very telling.

I think this team is secretly tanking for next years pic?

Do they even get a pic next year IF they TANK OR is the only pic they have is 2027?
Bring back Defense
