You know, I wish Coach Vogel would quit screwing around with the starting lineups. Now, if James is out tonight, he will have to trot out yet another unknown combination. Let's see, perhaps play: Howard, Johnson, Reaves or Horton/Tucker, Monk, Westbrook. Get the young guys in there.
Reaves, Monk, and Anthony are the only players with a positive +- this season. Howard is next at -0.4, followed by Horton-Tucker at -0.5 and Johnson at -0.6.

To add to that, Reaves (6.9), Monk (3.4), and Anthony (1.5) are the only players with a positive Net Rating. The main reason not to start Anthony is you do not want him to play too many minutes in a game. Stanley Johnson (-.5), Horton-Tucker (-.5), and Howard (-.8) are next. Put your most effective role players on the court.

Same starters as last game. LeBron will play.

A lot of isolation plays early on from LeBron and Russell.
The Pelicans look awful, though. Some of their shots are not even touching iron.

No more monologues after this, but if I were a coach of a college or professional team, I would tell every three-point shooter to follow their shot to the basket. Do not just give up the rebound uncontested.

We have 8 turnovers in 10 minutes of the first Q.
Honestly, some of the worst basketball I've watched over the years so far.
It's all iso ball

My goodness.1-7 from behind the arc and 9 turnovers in the first quarter alone. Same old garbage.

No words for how disjointed the team looks. I think if the Lakers lose this, Coach Vogel is gone, put out of his misery.

I think so too.
There has to be a fall guy, and the coach is the easiest.
I've been a LBJ fan but he's not really trying out there.
No one is trying on defense. Transition D sucks.
13 turnovers.
This is pretty bad.

These Lakers games are tough to watch because I feel like the announcers engage in the worst gaslighting for the Lakers since Lebron plays there and its the largest or second largest market and they are an iconic franchise. Every time this year they have won a couple of games in a row its like here comes the Lakers! lol. Even if this team was healthy all year they would be nowhere near the top half of the western conference standings. Its an ill put together team. Westbrook looks shot and they dont have enough quality players overall. Tired about hearing about a guy like Talen Horton Tucker and how great Carmelo Anthony is as a reserve and how awesome Malik Monk is and all the other nonsense lol. I do enjoy however the many comeuppances they have gotten this year though.

What a **** joke of a team. 16 first half turnovers. Just as many as their made FGs, and twice as many as assists. These losers just keep on disappointing.

16 turnovers and 16 FGs in the first half.
If I were Vogel, I'd put a line up out there of players who actually care.
Reeves, Monk, Johnson, Howard, and the ball boy.

We gotta find guys who just want to play. Serious conversations need to be had in the locker room. Find guys who just want to play. If there’s no LeBron or Russ, whatever. Find guys who want to play.

One of my all-time favorite players is a fellow Tar Heel, Tyler Hansbrough. Put him on this team and I can guarantee there would be some fire on the court. Or as Roy Williams once asked his team, "On a scale of one to Tyler Hansbrough, how would your rate your effort on the court tonight?"
He says he can still play.

22 point blowout. Boo birds are out. With this L, the LOLakers will only be 2.5 games from falling to the 11 seed. And with the toughest schedule the rest of the way, good luck making the play-in

Just when you think the Lakers have had their worst loss of the season, they find a way to one up themselves with another worst loss of the season.
