Love seeing the P&G back in action.

Offense definitely in preseason form but I also sense a defensive mindset

That’s what I thought.

Misunderstood LAKESHOW’s comment thinking he saw Dennis.

Of the youngsters, Swider and Pippen Jr. look most NBA ready

Don't like JTA much. He's mostly a garbage time player.

Christie just look like a 17 year old misfit out there. Reminded me of how raw Brandon Ingram was his first year here. Hopefully he’ll develop fast.

Already looking atrocious. Yikes. Wonder if they win a preseason game this time around.

Starters looked good. Looked like the offense with LeBron, Westbrook, Davis was far better.

That said, they're still trying to trade Westbrook... So that says something.

Bottom line is, preseason really doesn't tell you a whole bunch. Even though, the last 2 seasons we've been terrible in preseason, and also been terrible during the season...

They are trying to trade Westbrook for a good deal and they should keep those doors open. Lakers should not make a trade until January, for these first 2 months they can see what they have while also building pressure on teams to make a trade.

Giving up Westbrook and both FRPs is a mistake though unless they get back a good rookie/sophomore player that is locked in cheap or a star player like Beal or Kyrie or LaVine (which all seem unlikely)

There was a different feel to this game in the first half with the main guys getting the bulk of the minutes than last year's tone.

there was toughness and defensive intensity.
AD looked really good.
LBJ was solid except his shot wasn't on.
Russ played a good game.
Beverly brought some edge and intensity, and you could tell he is going to make a difference with what he brings.
Nunn was okay.

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with Jones and Bryant at the 5, but as long as Jones plays good D and protects the paint and the rim, and we get some good minutes from Bryant, I'll be happy.

I'd be surprised at this point if they trade Russ. They certainly shouldn't give up 2 FRPs for Hield and Turner IMO.

My thoughts exactly.

Not a good first impression for JTA. Yikes. Can he shoot at all? He's going to have to knock down some shots if he's going to have a role on this team.

Oh and Gabriel was really good, especially defensively.
