Nice of his teammates to step up and support him and get the win. Bums.

thought It was lame that they paused the game. they should finish it and then just have a whole moment for that.

they probably did it smack in the middle because then you were going to lose. lolll

Happy for LBJ. Not so happy for us Laker fans.

The game was mostly unwatchable from purely a basketball perspective because there was absolutely no defensive effort.

I would have much rather we tried to play some D and won the damn game.

The record would have come either today or tomorrow.

Congratulations to you guys that Lebron got the record as a Laker. (The rest will fade with time.)

Can't think of a more worthy person than LeBron James to hold the all time scoring record after Kareem. He's exceeding every expectation put on his broad shoulders as a teenager and then some.

I'm also pissed at the rest of the bums on the team as well as this lame dick organization for not even giving LeBron a chance to register this game as a win against a franchise that is willfully designed to lose this season. **** Jeanie Buss, Rob Pelinka, the Rambii and the rest of the clowns, hangers-on and other accessories masquerading as a professional basketball operation.

Standard NBA procedure to stop the game when someone becomes the all time leading scorer.
They will do it for Cam Thomas too when he gets number 1 in a couple of years.

So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Great feat for Lebron but totally disappointed with the team for the piss poor effort..

Making Muscala - who couldn’t hit the side of a barn when he was with the lakers - look like Reggie Miller out there…,

This season is fast sinking into the abyss

Monumental accomplishment. Congrats.

Hearing him speak in the Wilbon interview actually made me much more accepting of him as a Laker.

Also, he has indeed played like a beast this season. His defense is coming back to life. That bodes well. Let’s keep teams to 110 from here on out.

The defense yesterday was non-existent.

Happy for LeBron. He deserves it. Greatest of all time. He also deserves a front office and ownership group committed to maximizing every season with him wearing this jersey. What an amazing moment but a pathetic night overall thanks to this ownership group.

I wonder if all those people recording in the background actually missed his shot in real life and were focusing on the screen of their phone?

Congrats to LeBron!!!

The shot and the celebration afterwards were both beautiful to watch.

The game, itself, was "painful" to watch.

OKC's ability to carve up the Laker defense and drive to the basket should alarm all Laker fans.

AD looks like a shell of his former self.

Sitting 10 rows behind the Laker bench, watching Phil Handy and Westbrook jaw at each other did not look good.

Why did AD look so disinterested in LeBron capturing the scoring title?

Chris Bosh had a recorded congratulations for LeBron, as did Carmelo Anthony. I was surprised (unless I missed it), that there wasn't a congratulations from Dwayne Wade.

Wade congratulated him (1st vid). A lot of players did, surprisingly. Despite our bickering as fans, these guys do have a notable brotherhood.
