HOU @ LAL Nov 19, 2023

Post#1 » by MAMBAEMD » Mon Nov 20, 2023 2:20 am

Time to avenge the blow out loss from 11 days ago in Houston.
The Rockets have been pretty good this year.

This is a big game for them and for us.
We can't afford to lose home game to this caliber of a team.

Let's go Lakers!!!

Offense looks discombobulated.
Defense isn't that much better.

LBJ's treatment by the refs and the non-calls when he looks like he's getting fouled reminds me of how Shaq used to get hacked all the time without calls.

And the team is 3 for 19 from 3.

Terrible offense tonight.
So far AD, LBJ, and AR15 are saving the day.

A great 3rd Q for us.
Got a bit of a cushion to go into the 4th.

It'd be nice to see something out of Dlo and Prince to start the 4th.

Ridiculous that we didn't put Jaxson Hayes in for that last play.

Holy crap.

LBJ makes one out of two FTs to win it.

Too close for comfort.

37 points on 19 shots for LBJ.

Also 8 assists, with a big one to AR15 for the huge 3 in the last 2 minutes.

I’ll take the win but it shouldn’t be this close against POR.

Alpi played great, and we won, it's a like a dream scenario for me =)

Big respect to LeBron but it is very urgent for Ham to bring some kind of a system for second unit lead by AR. Stagnant offense in the half court, no ball movemen leads to a bad shot as a result we end up with a fast-break/transition.

meh.... typical Lebron needs to carry the team to a win over a subpar opponent with everyone else sucking on our team.

The way we defended that high pnr was awful. One of the critical plays down the stretch when we were up 3, AD sags all the way in the paint as FVV gets an absolutely wide up 3 at the top. Horrible.
Also have no bodies to make it tough on these skilled bigs who are just dominating us in the paint. AD is a good help defender but he just doesn’t look comfortable defending post ups.

Yes! AD is perhaps the greatest help defender big ever. He needs a twin tower, can’t be used as the only big defender down low. D Howard pulled his weight in 2020.

And I agree that our high PnR defense is absolutely pathetic but nobody here wants to hear it. Start Reaves at point, bring D Lo off the bench. Or let him start for a few more weeks so that we can easier trade him on Dec 15. Please, Rob.
