What Centers do you guys want to help AD play the 4 spot?

I'm referring too "Post Bron" but while he has 1/2 years left maybe, I want centers that will keep AD happy and allow him to play the 4 spot - PF, espeically post Bron...

Also keeping In mind Lakers will still have Wood/Hayes as center/pf unless traded?

Big, bang and slow type Centers

B. Lopez, J.Nurkic , N.Vucevic (not exactly slow) Kevon Looney, Jevale Mcgee (olderslower?), M. Robinson

Or we going with - Some of these players are also combos btw (not all), but can still push AD to the 4 spot

Smaller faster type of Centers who can also play PF also?

N Reid, Capela, Turner, Jalen Duren, Wendell Carter JR, D. Powell, A. Sengun, JJ Jr,

Name any of the 2 above while Including Woods/Hayes, while having AD at the 4.
Or you have your own type of players? :)

C: Any of the two above
PF AD

Not sure If the above teams would be willing to trade or players contracts etc just throwing names into the mix too discuss
Also I want a combination of slow big and fast moving centers so you can mix and match according to different teams, can't always be worried about Denver LOL

P.S This Is AD's team now, need to keep him happy

Edit: If you draft someone like Edey (BIG Center) trade him along with Rui and say JHS can that grab you Lopez/Nurkic/Vucevic?

I like the JaVale/Dwight mold and AD has spoken on it constantly how much having them helped him

Maybe give Mitch a call if hes still in Charlotte and ask about Nick Richards - big, athletic, strong

Any Turiafs or Mbengas in the draft?

Robert Williams in Portland can likely be had for draft picks + contract matches Gabe

I liked some Hayes & Wood experiments but Ham would always put them back in his pockets too soon
They'd be cool 4th & 5th bigs, both can play the 4 & 5 situationally too

Don't see them committing to the 20+mill contract guys as it would take too much depth from elsewhere, but shopping Rui or Vando could open up some options

I thought about him, but wasn't sure about PORTLAND as they don't really have many pigs, but If you can get him, I'd be for It
MCgee I don't mind either comes on the cheap, but Howard where has he been over seas can he still play NBA level???

Duren!

trade LeBron for ausar, duren, Marcus, and #53, we get younger

Detroit can form a super team with PG13, LeBron, Cade,

haha I just don't see Lakers trading for Lebron, I'm hoping, but doubt It

I like Duren nothing wrong him, hope that wasn't sarcasm.

Lebron is a 4 at this stage of his career, so he needs to stay at the 4. AD is obviously a 5. In this day and age, a player has no business playing anything other than the 5 if he cant shoot. I know the Lakers did well with the twin tower approach in the bubble, but that is 5 years ago now! Bron was what, 34? AD was 27ish? At that point, they had the speed to play the 3 and 4 respectively, but now with their advanced age, and the rapid evolvement of the game, LEBRON CLEARLY BELONGS AT THE 4 and AD CLEARLY BELONGS AT THE 5. Honestly, I think this causes a little bit of a passive aggressive rift between AD and Lebron because AD wants to play the 4 so bad.

Looking ahead, Wemby and Holmgren need to be considered. We need an athletic defensive giant.

AD is the perfect PF help defender to put next to a defensive C.

On offense, I’ve always wanted to see AD at SF to create mismatches, so in my book LBJ can remain our PF. Plus he’ll ride the pine more and more.

Isn't that what Vando Is for though - I mean he really just needs to learn to shoot alittle and of course stay healthy...

And since on the Bron topic

What do you guys thinks about Bron becoming a spot up shooter type of role?? Probably won't happen, but curious.

Sure, play LBJ as a huge SG and place Vando at SF. Fine with me as long as they switch on defense.

I think we should stay away from Rob Williams. His knee problems scare me and I feel like Boston dumped him for that reason even with their lack of C depth.

Nick Richards, however, I'd be all on board with. Team friendly contract and he played really well when Mark Williams went down with injury last year.

For me think the team should look to add youth and good players on good contracts.

As for center, we can use AD against most teams expect where teams have a legit center: Clippers, 76ers and of course Jokic.

Against Jokic/Embiid, we need to add a big center with strength. If EDEY is there at #17, it’s a no-brainer. Don’t over think it!

If EDEY is not there at 17, then we go stretch wing or stretch PF/C. League is going stretch wings and guards and we need to do that as well.

Robert Williams would look great as Davis' backup, for sure.

Vincent, Hayes, and a protected first for Robert Williams.

The Lakers would first need to dump Christian Wood. My guess is that nobody is willing to take him right now. Me thinks Pelinka is being boxed out by other GMs. Eventually someone will take him off their hands (for a second round pick), but right now, no one wants to help the mighty Lakers get in the arms race.

Someone who can shoot 3s while not being a complete disaster on the defensive end.

Wendell Carter Jr. would be pretty ideal.

Dream big fellas. The current regime has decided Jaxson Hayes is the answer. Easiest bet you can make is lakers to miss playoffs. The odds of ad having back to back healthy seasons are about the odds of Biden finishing out a second term. Easier to just follow a different sport till the current regime is replaced

Take that bet any time of the year.

Lakers are still top 6 in the West easy.

Why, after just getting swept by Jokic and the Nuggets, would Pelinka think that Hayes was the answer at backup center when he signed Hayes last summer?

That's the real question.

Pelinka's reasoning is often (not always but often) fundamentally flawed.

Hayes was a bad signing from the very beginning. I actually belief Hayes will carve out a serviceable career for himself. I, and many people like me, simply don't believe Hayes was the kind of center the Lakers needed when Pelinka signed him.

It appears the emperor has no clothes.

Kessler. I still have faith in Hayes and Giles III breaking out. Wood can be traded for his solid 3 ball ability.

Centers are overpriced!

Was hoping for EDEY but EDEY will a lottery pick and K4 fell into our laps.

Right now, it’s just Hayes and Wood with possibly Castleton. By deadline, would like to add a big bruiser if possible.

Hope JJ plays more rotation with AD at 4 and Wood/Hayes/Castleton at 5. Ham was just so annoying with his rotation. Glad we moved away but still nightmare flashes come.
