Lots of tough teams out west, but warriors imo one of the teams I’d think the lakers would have the easiest time with. Curry would get completely abused each time down the court just like in their 2023 playoff matchup , wouldn’t be able to hide him on anyone when you LeBron/luka/rui/reaves/big man out there.

I can totally see them losing to the pelicans Tuesday and being knocked all the way down to almost 5th seed lol

Plus historically, Lakers have owned the Warriors. Heck, if you remove the Durant years, LeBron has owned Curry many times.

Their net rating is on par of a play in team though, only Sac has lower diff than them in the top 10 in the west.

As a GS fan, I agree that the Warriors are not a contender. However Curry's defense is not the problem. The problem is too many important players are defenders without being spacers (Dray, Loon, Jimmy), or spacers without being defenders (Heild, Post). The whole "abuse Curry on D" plan has worked exactly once in however many playoff series he's been in, when he had a bad wheel. I love it when teams make that their game plan. It makes them predictable and easier to defend.
