Keys to a Laker Victory

Stay at home on the three points shooters! Do not let Peja, Peterson and Butler reign threes all game long.
Dominate the paint. New Orleans is a shooting team. Even their low post threat, West, likes to hit on 10-15 foot jumpers. Keep it that way. Bynum and Odom should have their way on the inside, both on offense and on the boards. The paint is our strength, and their weakness, we need to exploit it.
Get their bigs in foul trouble. If Bynum, Odom and Kobe can get into the paint early and often with success, their bigs will get in foul trouble quickly, and cause the defense to sag down and open things up for the perimeter players. The Hornets don't have much by way of bigs on their bench, so knocking West and Chandler out early will criple their ability to contest shots in the paint and rebound. The Lakers would be looking at several second chance opportunities on top of very high percentage shots. Regardless of how well New Orleans shoots, they can't keep with with %50+.

Wade is treated as preferentially as Jordan was at the peak of his game, and it is infuriating to watch...it's just plain unfair to see one guy get such special treatment. It takes away from the game.

It's from last year. I like to beat it into the ground, just to remove all doubt.

Gonna be a really tough game, that's for sure.

Kobe's due for a good shooting night.. He's had 2 straight poor ones.

Sounds about right. Nobody on their team can stop Kobe, so if Bynum has a big night, and we contain Chris Paul (he's not gonna have another great game vs us like last time) we should be able to win. Not a blowout, but no clutch time necessary either.

Mo Pete will for the most part, I think.

Should be a great one tonight.. Fisher's defense on Chris Paul and shutting down penetration is the biggest key tonight. We also can't let their shooters like Stojakovic and Peterson get hot. We have to cool the fire early, let Kobe do his thing in the fourth quarter.

We can't have a sub par shooting night from Kobe either. We need him shooting 48%+ tonight.

We are playing a back to back game, while NO had the day off. I hope the guy's are not tired and slugish, we need to start the game strong.

This game is big and we are not going to shut down Chris Paul. He is the best pg in the game offensively and imo overall. This will be a showdown between Kobe and Paul and it will be really good. These teams are the same in alot of ways. Both teams are trying to get into elite status. Were not going to shut down the penatration, our only hope is Paul has to play us 1 on 5.
Odom and West are pretty even but Bynum is a huge X-Factor. If he has an off game were done. If he plays like the star he has been we should prevail.

bynum should outplay chandler

kobe should attack the basket put their bigs in foul trouble, and sscore 25+ in 48% shooting, and he should also get 4+asst

Sadly, I see Paul going for like 20/17/6 tonight.

Hate to be a pessimist in a situation like this, but i'll be rooting for the Lakers like every other game.

Should be fun.

Stay with the shooters....make paul the primary scorer....let bynum dominate chandler....look for bynum from early on....this is going to be a good game
