In absence of a game thread,
Even without Kobe, this should be an easy win, but I have an eerie feeling the Laker kids already think they've won the game. Stomp on them early and hard!
Game played at the Staples Center, LA.

If Kobe is not playing tonight, Bynum should get plenty of attempts.
30/20/3/4 is not out of the question.
EDIT: And Crittenton should see some serious PT. Can we get a foreshadow tonight, of what the Critt-Bynum duo might become one day? Hopefully Critt will calm down a bit and stop turning the ball over out there. He's still rushing the game in his mind, a bit tense.
Who am I kidding? Like Kobe is going to sit out a game because he's a bit under the weather... Sure. As long as he doesn't get the rest of the team sick, and puts up 37, I'm fine with it.

its not about odom stepping up. putting it on one player is completely ignoring how the lakers have gotten to where they are. its all about the team. aside from kobe, no one is really putting up huge numbers night in and night out. bynum has his games, odom has his games, fisher, farmar, ariza, walton, even sasha. its all about team effort.

More than one expert has dubbed the Lakers the best passing team in the league, again this year, just like last year. If Kobe is indeed not playing, I expect the passing game and off the ball movement to be even better than usual. Several different players will end up sharing the increased scoring load.

sorry im skeptical about the laker team being a better passing game without kobe. the whole premise this team has was about being able to make the pass because people are working to defend him :/
but... yeah. GO LAKERS!

I realize what pressure Kobe's presence puts on opponents' defense. He's one of the best offensive players in the history of the game.
My point is, when Kobe is out, they have to swing the ball around even more to get good looks, something they have shown in the past that they can do well.

Kobe not playing is close to a disaster now if we were playing a better team but we should be able to handle the Grizz. Our back up at SG worries me a lot and I'm not comfortable with Critt playing 30 mins this early in the season. I bet Phil thinks the same after the mistakes he made last game.
