Our better starter Odom or Ariza?

Post#1 » by Tommy Trojan » Thu Jan 17, 2008 3:04 am

This might upset some of you, but let me share my idea with my fellow Laker fans.

As I see Lamar Odom is completely lost playing along side our starters. Nothing against Lamar, but I think he will be more valuable to our team if we can bring him off the bench. Playing along side Kobe and Bynum he is not as affective if he were to play with Farmar and the second unit. Our second unit is lacking a

there is no way ariza is a better option at pf than odom.

i dont agree with that...but i do think Ariza should be starting, but starting over luke....luke will add his playmaking abilities to the second unit which we may lack at times....

fish
kobe
ariza
odom
bynum( when he comes back)

ariza is wayyyy better defensively then luke, and is a freak athlete that can find the rim....luke is my boy, but arizas the better option at starter...i think alot of you guys would agree with me??

If Odom gets benched at this point for Ariza, his trade value hits an all time low.

Hopefully he can put a couple good games together and Indy, Memphis, Utah, or Phx will bite.

Odom is the better player. but on the lakers, i know what you mean, OP.

ariza just fits better. but he isn't big enough to be a PF.

have turiaf start at PF and ariza at SF, and we have a fast, hustling defensive team, and a team that will cause chaos for opponents.

they will play harder, faster, run the floor, more fastbreak points, and a higher chance of hitting opponents with a can of whup@ss that will leave them dazed.

Ariza's way better as a starter but Lamar does way more with the bench than with the starter

ariza's better and its not close. he plays defense.

at the pf, odom is clearly better. but odumb likes to jack up jumpshots he has no shot of making, so he's more of a sf.

at small forward? ariza. he impacts the game more IMO. you dont really see ariza miss layup after layup, or get 5 offensive fouls in a 4 minute stretch.

he can give you lock down defense, great anticipation in the passing lanes, and is a great finisher, and more then capable on the fast break.

19 points and 19 rebounds and LO should be replaced by Ariza

Unbelievable

I can't decide which is worse:

1. That this is even up for debate.
2. That eight of you actually think it's a good idea.

If we're fiddling with the lineup, why don't we think about sitting the guy who gave us an oh-fer last night instead of the one who nearly went 20-20?
