Vladimir Radmanovic out even longer?

Post#1 » by slickgreek » Thu Jan 17, 2008 3:29 am

From what I read in the LA Times, I thought he was going to play tomorrow?

With word breaking that Vladimir Radmanovic may be out a couple more weeks (ankle), the Lakers certainly need the help. Webber can play either power forward or center. LA only has 14 on the roster so waiving a player is not an issue.

This just confirms that we need alittle more help. I'm not saying blow up the roster, because that would be insane at this point. Adding Webber could do it.

Personally, I think Webber is done. It'll take him longer than 8-10 weeks to get into game shape and up to tempo. Even then, he's too slow nowadays. He is only good for passing, an average midrange shot and 6 fouls. He'll get burnt in the paint by the slowest guards of the league, he'll foul them and we'll be closer to being in the penalty.

Not to be a downer here, but I don't think he's going to bring what a lot of posters here seem to think. He's not worthless, but he's also no savior. He's too slow/over the hill/dead horse. I'm done with pushing the bad luck we've had with declining veterans

We sure do have a knack for finding injury prone players...

Radman, Odom, Brown, Mihm... jeez.

Wow...everbody's over the Radman.

I don't think I'm over the guy entirely just cause he's hurt. This is really the first time he's had a basketball related injury with us.

He came into last year with a hurt hand and just as it was healing, he had the snowboard issue.

This year I think he's played pretty well but ankle injuries happen to everyone.

We could really use his shooting right about now considering we're having trouble finding a second scorer.

Am I the only one who completely forgot he was on the team over the last month when we were tearing it up??

But I guess now we need all the help we can get.

I think Radman has been a miserable disappointment as a Laker, and yes, I find him personally responsible for being such a disappointment.

And yet, as badly as Luke is playing, as badly as we need another shooter, I think we could really use him - defense, effort, bball IQ and hairstyle be damned.
