If lakers and pistons are the two choices webber is looking into (not boston or some other team), then he will probably join the lakers because Detroit will have him as a deep bench after jason maxiell while lakers will have him right off the bench or even starting. It just matters about how much each team can offer webber and for Lakers its the minimum. I dont think Webber would like to be a deep bench barely playing minutes.

I don't think a Webber signing would send Kwame to the bench. I think Walton is heading there, with Odom switching over.

Webber is a 4. And Walton is playing just smegma awful.

Actually, Webber played a lot of 5 in Philly and Detroit because he's pretty big and strong and with his age and that knee, he's really a lot less mobile than he used to be.

He could definitely see time at the 5 if Phil wanted him to.

EDIT: Also, Walton may not be playing up to par but he's still shooting just fine at about 45/39 FG/3P.

C-webb did play 5 in the Eastern conference, but in the West he'd be outmatched. Turiaf gets overpowered, and he's an active, mobile power forward.

If we did play C-Webb at center, it would do nothing for our post game nor our post defense. I hope we don't play him at center, although, based on Kwame's reception at Staples, he might have to.

Walton's overall averages are fine, but his contributions aren't making up for his liabilities, especially recently. He should sit.

It doesn't matter if Webber has no more game, as long as he can make open layups, he would be a upgrade for Kwame. Anything would help at this point.

With word breaking that Vladimir Radmanovic may be out a couple more weeks (ankle), the Lakers certainly need the help. Webber can play either power forward or center. LA only has 14 on the roster so waiving a player is not an issue.

While the Lakers are still awaiting Webber's decision - it looks like it's just a matter of time before he joins the squad.

I dunno, I don't think it's wise to waste that kind of floor spacer; scale his minutes by matchup and efficacy each night but don't just arbitrarily sit him.

And anyway, the idea of playing Webber at the C is more of an offensive thing but I guess it really doesn't matter what you label him. He's effective in the low post and he's still an outstanding high post player... he'll help the rebounding issue a little as well.
