Being rested isn't the problem. Being in sync is. Getting back what he had. Hopefully the 10-18 games remaining will get him back into rhythm, so come playoff time he would be ready. Keep in mind, Lakers took 30-40 games to get this chemistry (26-11 previously, and 10 out of the last 11), and now lets hope 10-18 games would do the trick. As much as I would love to have him back early, I rather have him fully recovered than anything. This year, I was looking for progress and signs that Lakers could be a championship-caliber team, and that's what we all saw. Even if we get another 1st round exit this year, next year will be our year to dominate.

All we can hope is for the injury to not damage Drew's game physically and mentally.

I don't think it will. This kid is tough and has the right people around him. He'll be all right. A guy like him isn't a chemistry killer, as he doesn't stall the offense. Moreover, he boosts us and takes pressure off of our backs.

the kid is too young to need rest. 1 week of rest is all he needs. not two months

I think thats a tall order. This is his first major injury, I don't see him fully trusting his knee/body for the rest of this season. Thats going to suck. I hope for some good to come out of this, he should have about 2-3weeks to practice lots set shots at around 10-15feet.

ya bynum's young he didn't need the rest
the main concern is whether he can get back into the flow once he's back

At 20 you don't need rest.............hell I use to ball 4 to 5 days out the week in like 2 leagues in my 20's.
I'll be more worried about his mental state more than anything.
Will he have some explosion in his legs and be in shape ?
That's the question.

Exactly. And even if he doesn't have that explosion the rest of this season he still has some great post moves that don't require a dunk and he has the IQ to smartly rebound a ball. I say he's in good shape (pun intended).

well when i came back from my dislocated knee injury, the same injury Bynum has, I was very hesitant to even take the ball to the basket whenever i played but after maybe two months i stopped worrying
Hopefully Bynum isnt hesitant but he has to be aware and careful

Look at Che's skull. I know this will sound stupid, but it looks like him, doesn't it? You can tell it's him.

And what if we fall down to ninth spot and get eliminated from playoffs? It
