NBA.com - Kobe Leads Race to MVP

Post#1 » by Desiderium » Wed Jan 23, 2008 1:45 am

dunno if this was posted already.

http://www.nba.com/features/player_rankings.html

After moving Bryant to the top spot following his 44-shot, 48-point performance against the Sonics, I received numerous e-mails from KB24 haters saying that I was rewarding a ball hog. Where are those complainers at now, following Monday's seven-shot, 11-assist masterpiece against the Nuggets? Bryant does whatever it takes to get the Lakers a 'W' in the win column.

He's trusting in his teammates <--a statement that makes you wonder how stupid the NBA is today. Randy Moss must have broken the TD record because he was trusting in Tom Brady. Just goes to show you, the NBA ratings are down, and we have to deal with Kobe being the marketable (rather turn off) to fans who refuse to watch a game dominated by referees. Referees make all the difference. They whistle you for fouls. They put you in the free throw line. They whistle if you play defense that isn't allowed to players like Kobe. And when that player playing defense is in foul trouble, the only thing you can do is, Not complain about it (the NBA will fine you), and let Kobe be the fake star (WWE wrestler) that the NBA wants him to be.

OK, who left the back door open to let that Suns ballboy in. Apparently he thinks the MVP is owed to Steve Nash every year.

Much like "Phoenix Suns" and "NBA championship" in the same sentence; they just don't belong.

Despite what haters say ..

Kobe has been MVP this far through the season, he has led his team to as far as 1st in the West and he has done whatever it has taken to win games whether its been from Scoring to (like last night) Passing

People have always knocked him the past couple years saying he is talented but he cant lead his team to a top 3 record .. now this year he may do that and there will be no excuse.

This has truely been a special season and im glad to have been able to share it with you Laker fans ... hopefully this continues and we step up when the most important time comes !

Let PKings fans hate they are Bitter and Let Phoenix fans hate they are nervous of this squad we have .. they can say all they want how they beat us in the playoffs the past 2 years but that has led to nothing .. they should be trying to get into Spurs fans heads not ours ..

at least when we beat our Rivals through the 2000-2002 Seasons we took the Chip ...

The NBA owes Kobe two MVP's, one for 05'06, one for 06'07, and he should be working on his 3rd this year.

Nash needs to give that MVP back, and you already know that Dirk is embarrassed that he won, he knows good and well that he didn't deserve that trophy.

I still dont understand on what basis Suns "fans" feel they have the right to come to this board and litter it with their nonsense.

u no wut really pisses me off and just goes to show u their r so many kobe haters is how this year the cavs r prob gunna finish wit the same record or worse as lakers have had last 2 years and he's being considered one of the top guys to win mvp while the last 2 years kobe was considered a BALLHOG and no1 ever gives lebron that title

is it becuz he gets more assists but that would mean he controls the ball even more and they take same amount of shots lebron prob more shots a game this year I just hate the kobe hate

If he puts up 20 + 10 assists in most of the remaining games, he'll get it more than 80 %.

I'd wish to see from Kobe 22 PPG, 8 APG, 6 RPG, 2 SPG !
