ESPN sophomore rankings: Farmar No.6

Few teams would have predicted he'd be getting 20-plus minutes per game on one of the best teams in basketball in only his second season in the league. But more than half the teams who passed him up on draft day could use his 40.6 percent 3-point shooting in their rotation, not to mention his energy on both sides of the floor. He is quick and crafty with the ball, and is a much better than average finisher around the rim despite his small stature.
He looks to be the best pure point guard in this class, though the Lakers' offense allows him to be more "guard" than "point." His on-the-ball defense is also underrated, and he's averaging more than a steal per game as the backup to Derek Fisher. He'll be a longtime starter in this league. And a winner.

He'd most likely start at the point ahead of Rondo and Boobie I guess.

I couldn't agree more with that statement in bold. Farmar's winning attitude is what sets him apart from other players. It's why a guy with lesser ability and skills is able to be so solid: he has the drive.
I can't say I've seen Farmar look unsure. I've seen him down on himself, but that to me is just him expecting more. I hope he keeps on pushing in the off-seasons, because we could have a hell of a gamer on our hands.

I like Farmar. He's sort of a Tony Parker prototype.

Anyone else think Farmar is ready for a bit more responsibility on the team?
I think lately he's garnered a lot of respect for his 3 point shooting, but I'd love to see him get more chances to create with the ball as well.
He's easily one of our best finishers in traffic.

Famar is steady. I love the guy(no homo) he's what you want. I remember the game against the warriors kwame didnt get back on defense and his man got fouled. Jordan was the first guy to get into kwame's face Yelling to him to RUN BACK

Farmar is a born leader, and easily as talented as J-Critt, if not more so.

Tough to say anything really about Java. He's just not getting any consistent PT whatsoever. He's shown some really good stuff, but his shots haven't fallen. He's a rookie, and he's getting treated like one. For good reason too, since Fish and Farmar are ballin.
He's not a demonstrative firecracker like Farmar, no.
Farmar has the Kobe DNA. Absolute self-confidence, ice-cold killer mentality. Whatever talent level he has, he's going to get the most of it, and then some.

Farmar and Bynum has a lot of chemistry already. I see Farmar always setting him up for an alley-oop. Critt so far, has shown that he can get into the paint through dribble penetration, but lacks the ability finish. I see him as a D-Wade without the dunking ability.

If Farmar's improvement under Phil Jackson is anything to take note of, Crittenton could be scary good next season by this time.
