When I posted my thread , When superstars fall.
This is where Shaq is going to really ruin his image .
I cant believe that he still believes he can contribute , and get paid 20 mil
for it too.

Shaquille O'Neal again indicated on Thursday that he will not retire before his contract expires at the end of the 2009-2010 season, the Miami Herald is reporting.
In an interview Thursday, ESPN Radio's Jack Ramsay told O'Neal, ``I don't hear retirement in your voice.''
Responded O'Neal: ``No, never that. I am the son of an army drill sergeant, and when we enlist, we go full term. So I've got two years left on my term, and after that, I'll be looking to do other things

Can you imagine if we decided to keep him and having to go through all of this today .
His JOKES and Replies like this is getting a bit too old too , like his Old over weight A55 .

I think he is playing for the cheddah, why should he quit his 20 mil a year job, especially after Shawnee broke him off something sick in divorce court.

this won't do anything to tarnish shaq's image. anyone that already doesn't like shaq will look at this and use it to justify their stance. anyone who likes shaq will continue to see him as the center that took 3 different teams to the finals, won 4 rings and was the most dominant player of his era and arguably EVER.
shaq follows the line of about 75% of star athletes that play and get paid way beyond their prime.

Good post Tony, who would've thought that the Clippers would become the soap opera of the moment and Shaq refusing to believe he's done.

Shaq is not stupid. He has another $40 mil after this season. If he retired, he would lose that money. There is no way he is retiring this early.
Miami should probably offer him a buyout.

He knows he's done, but he's not going to give up $40 million free money.
Would you?
