Front row seats at Cavs-Lakers game; observations

Great game despite the loss, but being within ear shot at this game, I saw and heard some interesting things;
1) Turiaf is a funny dude, absolutely hilarious with his dances and his comments to teammates. But he's also the consummate teammate, you can tell by his positive attitude and his tough demeanor that he really enjoys yapping it up both on the court and the bench. Swore a lot too.
2) Sasha and Jordan sometimes make weird homosexual gestures to each other. I don't know what it means but I think it's an inside joke or something. Nothing wrong with that though, just thought it was odd. Farmar is also very positive and tight with everyone it seems. Also looked generally relaxed in huddles, despite getting an earful from Phil late in the game.
3) Kwame doesn't communicate with anyone on the team, and doesn't seem the least bit interested in what's going on in the huddles. Seems like he'd rather be someplace else, which is exactly the way I saw it on TV. Sad that it was reaffirmed here. Even more amazing was to watch just how much the fan base there dreaded every time Kwame got the ball and would just literally ignore the basket or just stand still and do nothing but pass it off for no reason other than to get it out of his hands. The crowd would literally gasp in horror at some of the fumbles he had, which looked even worse up close I have to say.
4) LO seemed very into this game from the start, looked focused in the huddles from the beginning (I'm guessing because he has been terrible lately and knew he was due). What really bothered me was that he completely lost his focus when something went wrong. When he was denied penetration late 2nd quarter/early 3rd he just shutdown and stopped being aggressive. Just non-existent off the ball or otherwise, he instead went hard to the boards. Then, when he went in for that layup toward the end of the game and didn't get the foul call, at the other end of the court after a timeout was called (by which point I assume the game went to commercial on TV), he tosses the ball almost the full length of the court in frustration at the officials and had to be semi-restrained by teammates. Completely lost his cool. Like Kwame, fans were screaming in frustration at him.
5) Kobe seemed pretty neutral with his teammates, upbeat with the younger guys though (especially Farmar). Fisher and him were clearly on the same wavelength in terms of play calling, with Kobe very serious throughout and always going about his business. Same with Fish except Fish smiled more. Crowd obviously had a hard-on for anything Kobe did well.

Cool. Did you get wet?
Can I go with you next time? I'll buy you a beer when I do.

i was also at the game, but didn't have the good seats as you did.
by chance, did you happen to see in the 2nd period where the cavs were shooting free throws right after a time out. the cacs coach was drawing up a play and discussing it with hughs and gibson on the court. Sasha kept going over to watch/listen, step away, go back to look at the play again they drew on the board.... it was just classic!
WHY jackson didn't play sasha more in the 4th when he was hot (shooting) in the first half is beyond me.
the 1st half was boring...but 2nd half was exciting....the ending SUCKED!

Yeah, it took me a while to figure out it was a leak. Btw, it looked like the valley chick who dose the promotional shots in-between commercials got hit by a few drops herself. Pretty funny.

I didn't see that, but I did see Anderson Varejo trying to listen to what Vujacic and Fisher were talking about privately. It was odd that he just blatantly went up to them and tried to listen to what they were saying, as if they wouldn't figure it out.

HA! i guess you gotta gain an edge whenever it is possible!

1. Turiaf is the kind of guy you wanna have off the bench on a Championship team. I just love seeing his passion for the game.
2. This guy is just an overpaid bum that doesn't deserve to even wear a replica jersey. I hate his attitude and his game. He disgusts me.
3. Lamar Odom is a freaking idiot. Nuff said.
4. Kobe's finally settling into that role as team champion and leader. Derek Fisher's reacquisition has been integral to this team's success. Excellent signing by Mitch.

Thanks for the perspective guys.
The thing most concerning to me is LO. He's supposed to be our glue guy. We make excuses for his lack of effectiveness on many nights by saying he's a glue guy, but he's communicating a nasty temper and knack for giving up to our young guys. I like to see him moved despite the fact that we were rolling before the injuries and the team shouldn't be in full panic mode.

I went to the game too today... sat 8 rows back mid court. The observations i made were simple... we have no post player!!!!Without a post player the rest of the lakers cant get a shot off. Kobe bryant was obviously pissed cuz the coaches sat him down too long and too late with 4 minutes left to go. Lebron made 2 jumpshots the whole game and he made a living attacking the hoop. Kobe got double teamed and triple teamed and we sent luke walton to guard the cavs best player

I was at the game too, sect. 301 row 1 seat 1..
I saw that with Sasha it was hilarious..actually Ronie was eavesdropping that same timeout when he rolled up behind Hughes and Gibson and Lebron who were strategizing by the FT line. Then they moved over by the sideline and sasha stood next to them obviously listening in, until some of the Cavs teammates on the bench started yelling and he scurried off. but a succesfull black ops mission for the most part.
Oh, did anyone see the guy with the Mozart wig dancing erratically with a pnk jacket up in section one behind the Cavs bench? That guy was really annoying..

Sounds to me like Kwame and Odom are doing a good job virtually removing themselves from the team.
Kobe/Fisher + the young guys = the future/championships
The more and more I read about and watch the Lakers first hand the more I'm convinced Kwame and Odom are derailing this newly built bullet train of a Laker team.

Yeah, figured I'd treat myself to a Sunday game, those tend to be the best, and I got a great deal on the tickets. Hopefully I get lucky like that again, too fun listening to everyone converse.

Question regarding Turiaf EHL....
Does he really appear 6'10, 250? My guess is he's really about 6'8 or 6'9 and closer to 235 pounds.
Varejo is listed 6'10 250 and looks like he dwarfs him in height and weight.

Varejo is listed 6'10 250 and looks like he dwarfs him in height and weight.
His fro will do that to about anyone since it gives him another 5 inches.
I believe Ronny is around 6'9" with shoes.
