Here are the Stats :
52.1 FG %, 67.5 FT %, 11.1 PPG, 4.5 reb, 2.5 BLKs in only 24 min a game. Awesome stats, I think his jumper is great now awesome 18 footer, so active w/ blks and hustle be perfect along side Bynum when he returns...... blks 2.5 in 24 min amazing...
which leads me too, Is Odom expendable if Ronnie could continue these numbers--Ronnie D so much better and his jumper better and his finish at the rim, Kobe loves passing to Ronnie because he can dunk or take foul......
Serieously, Kwame, Odom and Farmar and #1 I would trade for Kidd and Magloire right now...
Kidd, Fish, Critt
Kobe, Sasha
BYnum, Mihm and DJ
Turiaf, Maglorie
ARiza, Luke and Vlad and
How couldn't they do this now, W emergence of Ronnie........Maglorie better hands and better D than Kwame, J Kidd hall of famer, and everybody says oh J Far but you go risk w/ a back up plan named J Critt it's 100 % do come on it would take team over the top....addition by subtraction moving Turiaf in Odom's starting spot.... Ronnie could avg 14 8 and 2 blks easy..... Man what a team, I' d pick them to win it all.........Numbers dont lie....please dont lock this I Think everyone needs to see Ronnie's numbers...........

Major props... I love Ronny, I just wish he was a better rebounder... I may be in the few, but I really like Ronny coming off the bench... If we trade Odom we need to get a starting caliber PF in return imo

Good Job Ronny. I remember when the lakers drafted him i was like...Who? Then someone metioned the lakers had a complete steal in the second round. Looks like they were right. Now all we gotta do is keep ronny a laker for life.

Ronny is a fantastic rebounder. Here is why it doesn't reflect in his stats -
1.) He is the only big (besides Bynum) that will attempt to block shots. That takes him out of rebounding position. You might see that from LO or Kwame once every 5 - 6 games.
2.) He is probably the only defender that consistently leaves his man to rotate to some other guy who just blew by Kobe, Fish or Farmar to protect the rim - thus taking him out of rebounding position.
3.) When he's guarding a larger player or well known rebounder, he stays more focused on keeping his man off the glass and boxing out for his teamates to be able to get the board but takes his man out of the play. The only rebounds that get by him here are the long shots with long rebounds that are overhead and out of reach.
Ronny is smaller than what he's listed at (I'm sure) but all those things I mentioned above are basic fundamental basketball needs and plays. When he doesn't have to do everything else on defense then he usually has pretty good rebounding stats.

Fixed.
I'd rather have Vlad out there so we can have some floor spacing.
That said, I love what Turiaf has done the past couple of weeks. He goes through stretches where he plays poorly (stupid fouls, turnovers, lack of rebounding), but overall he does a nice job on both ends of the floor. He's a solid finisher and has something that Odom doesn't... a mid-range jumper.

And that's part of Ronny's problem. He doesn't need to go after every single shot that goes up. I like that he challenges shots, but it also gets him into foul trouble and as you mentioned gets him out of rebounding position. One thing in particular that I noticed about Ronny's blocked shots is that they almost always result in the team getting the ball back and scoring.
That said, I don't think it'll be that big of a problem if he is playing PF next to either Bynum or Kwame, who need to be responsible for cleaning up after Ronny. When he plays C though, it's a bit of a problem since there isn't anyone there to help him out.

this will be the only benefit of bynum's injury............ronny gets more minutes and continues to develop.

I agree but it's still something that is needed by this team with such a soft front line otherwise without Drew. I haven't looked at his fouls for the last 2 - 3 games but they have not been excessive from what I remember. If anything Kwame does not pick up enough fouls because he doesn't challenge enough shots. When Ronny gets regular minutes and in rhythm he usually is pretty good at keeping his fouls in check - when he's not getting much time he tends to try and do too much and get's himself in foul trouble.
I think the more minutes he gets the more controlled he plays - including blocking shots with a bit more control and knowing when to challenge and when to play position D. He's pretty adept at taking charges as well.

Ronnys got a big heart .
I love his hustle and his positive energy he brings for the Lakers.
