Ric will not admit that Dr Buss bowed to Kobe because Kobe was right.

That's good news, but I think Bynum shouldn't try to rush back just for the playoffs. Being a 7 footer, there should be some extra caution here. His knee is very important to our franchise and we don't want to do something brash like Dwade did last year. That decision is still haunting him 1 year later.

Honestly, I think we're darkhorse contenders without Bynum this year. We're already just that much better than last year. Think about it we replaced Smush with Fisher and Kwame with Gasol. Farmar, Sasha, and Ronny have all made huge leaps in improvement too.

That said, I really hope Bynum is 100% come playoff time. We're going to destroy every team that stands in our way.

I heard that on the interview with Ric..

Honestly, I don't believe a single word that comes out of Bucher's mouth.

The fact that Ric Bucher's name is attached to this makes this a bs story.

Well, if they would NOT have been pursuing this trade before drew was hurt then they would have been sleeping.

Bynums injury or not.. this was a must deal.

Bynum's eight week recovery schedule was set for him to have plenty of time to fully heal his injuries. If he wanted to, he could come back early. So for Butcher to say he is going to be out for even longer than two months is very much premature. Unless something drastic happened to Bynum's recovery, which would be all over the news, it is impossible to determine how long he is going to be out. I guess this is Butcher's personal speculation.

[Ric Bucher of ESPN says that one of reasons behind the Pau Gasol trade is that Andrew Bynum will be out longer than two months....]

Need I say more?

If the OP has paraphrased Bucher correctly, there is no need to look past these words to see how ridiculous this is.

I am not saying Bynum is or is not behind schedule, but regardless it has nothing to do with why we got Pau.

Ric Bucher I ask you this: are you saying that we turn out the deal if Bynum is ahead of schedule?

Come on guys, this has Bucher nonsense written all over it. [/quote]

mitch would be the biggest idiot if he didnt do the trade even if bynum is comign back soon... so is mitch the idiot who pulled such an amazing trade or is ric bucher who said kobe will never stay as a laker the lying attention seeker?

How about this for thought... Andrew Bynum saying he feels really good and that they are continuing to work on his leg to make his return on time and saying it looks good so far.

Bucher just craves attention he will make anything up just to get his name out there. I really dont think anything that bucher has said, speculated, made up, or that his sources told him... has ever come true. This guy has made up more trades and rumors than us here in Realgm.
