Gasol few hours after knowing the news

Post#1 » by frangs » Sat Feb 2, 2008 10:39 am

I think it deserves its own thread (moderators move it if there is another thread for this pls).

He is speaking in Spanish but you can feel he looks astonished.

"I hope it will become an amazing dream...,and well,...I still cannot believe it.....They have told me the news very few hours ago...and....it is shocking that all of a sudden, in minutes, you are in a great team, in a team with the greatest NBA tradition ..with a really strong team and with chances to win the championship..so personally and professionally I am very very pleased, very happy, ... but...in shock now"

Oppps. I wouldnt like to have gasol as a close friend. look what are you taking from memphis. He leaves in that "team-going-nowhere-for-years" his brothers and his best friend. he is completly the opposite of michael Scofield! Even Scofield could make Navarro and M.Gasol brake out of that prison.

^Haven't you heard? Prison Break sucks now.

His brother is still overseas so he's got some time before he thinks about joining Navarro.

YUP , tell em Miles .

I said the same thing , this deal was in the making since last summer.

Pau , Kobe , Buss all three of them knew WTH was going on .

Jerry West was the center piece in this deal.
He kept silence about it , and so did everyone else .

To say that Kobe, Pau, and Buss planned this because they met last summer, and then to insinuate that Jerry was involved in this for quite some time is quite a big jump, need to have proof for the latter.

Quite frankly, I think people are making too big out of this supposed "raping." Just look at what the Hornets got for Baron Davis, the Raptors got for Vince. I'd say the Grizzlies got back quite a bit, compared to those trades.

It just happens that in this case, we were already a strong team, made into a dominant team, which tends to make people think this is a much better trade than it was, but in reality, this trade is no more of a "raping" than those others. Heck, if the Bulls had pulled off such a trade, I doubt anyone would have cared.

They're angry because they're afraid. They're afraid what a trio of Bynum, Kobe and Pau will do to them. I mean, that's like having a young Duncan and a Kobe, still relatively in his prime together, and then add a 19-9 guy to that mix.

Then you add Odom to that mix, and it simply becomes ridiculous.
