Gasol likes to face up on the elbow and drive into the paint for a sort of moving hook shot; he moves well without the ball for mid-range Js, he backs down and spins pretty well, finishes with either hand...
His offense won't disappoint and, more importantly, won't conflict with Kobe OR Bynum.

He is a great fit for the triangle because he has that 15-18 foot shot. He also has solid low post moves.
He will not be shooting 3's for the Lakers. I don't hink Phil will like that too much.
He will make us a powerful half court offensive team which will be great for the playoffs. I hope he plays decent defense as well.

+1
I've been a fan of this guy for a couple years now, but I don't really feel like some Laker fans really understand how talented this guy truly is.
He is going to be a treat to watch.

The perimeter? God help us.
Who cares about Odom? He's a useless, inconsistent dreg as a scorer anyway. He should have been the post player for the last three years when there was no competition for him there and now he's become entirely expendable. I would be THRILLED if Kupchak could move him but because he acquired Gasol, he gets a pass for the rest of the year unless he makes a really stupid transaction before the deadline.
Odom should, theoretically, be phased out of the offense except as a pressure-breaking ball-handler, scoring on tip-ins and dump passes, catch-and-moves on cuts, that sort of thing. He's always produced as a fourth option except when he was in Miami and that's what he has finally become, so it is a perfect situation. He can assert himself when one of the Big Three goes to the bench and it opens up some spots closer to the basket...
Or he can STFU and just stay the fourth option.
