LO and Ariza are the only movable pieces considering talent and contract wise.

Also I observed how flat the team had become when we first traded away Mo and Cook. Now LO and Walton have been with Lakers for quite a time now and moving any of them in the midst of all the other changes could upset the team chemistry a great deal.

I'd stand steady for now unless there's a pretty good player available.

vlad has played pf almost exclusively this year and obviously LO will be playing pf for at least another month and a half.

Vlad won't be moved because his contract isn't very attractive at all, and therefore we wouldn't get much (+) value for it.

Ariza won't be moved because he's finally that athletic wing defender that we've been wanting for ages.

Luke probably has some value since he's still being paid about right (albeit for a fair while), so he could be moved for expirings if needed.

My money's on Odom being moved (this offseason).

The first three I was with you, but when you listed Dunleavy and Stojakovic I was like hell naw. I must say Dunleavy would fit in nicly witth the team tho.

The only players that I would take back from this list are Artest and AK and maybe Peja. But, Vlad when healthy can knock those shot's down with the best of them.

i think we should trade odom for a cheap sg that can hit 3s, create his own shot, penetrae to the basket plus some expiring contracts, imo kobe plays better at the 3 he gets more rebs and assts

Kings have to take on Odom, who will be one step closer to rebuilding with Ron gone, and then quite possibly Bibby gone. Then the Lakers probably have to take on Kenny Thomas or SAR, along with the Ron Show :).

Petrie will try to move one of those guys at every oppurtunity, as has gone with Kenny in numerous various reports, and will probably begin with SAR this summer. Aside from it being obvious with their contracts and the situation of the team, and supposedly Kenny Thomas was told he's not part of the future plans in Sac. Rotating the inactive list now, playing limited minutes.

I would take marion in a split second before I take Artest... Artest has more risks involved (especially contract wise and chemistry)....Artest is going to want to be paid a decent amount and Lakers might not have the necessary money after paying bynum his extension (we dont want to lose bynum)... and we also have to make sure kobe is happy and if he starts butting heads with Artest that is not good especially after all the fiasco with him wanting to leave and next year getting closer to ending contract.

Marion also has some risks because he wants to be the 2nd best player and he wouldnt be in lakers (although u could argue he is better than gasol), although if he's winning championships or close to it he won't complain. But outside of that I would still take marion over artest... marion is underrated as a defender cuz hes on a team that has very few good defenders (amare being the big one agaisnt C's since he's undersized) and marion is also undersized at his position... as a SF marion is a excellent defender, big time hustler (will get any loose rebounds without competing for rebounds like odom will and put his body on the line for them), can shoot 3's/midrange (although its very ugly looking), and can fly and dunk passes (good hands).
