IMO Kobe doesn't have to score alot of points and force the issue. Lock Wade up defensively. The Lakers have enough firepower from the rest of the team this should be a blow out as long as Wade is held under his average. Only issue is to me Lakers do poorly on Sunday Nationally televised games.

Pau for 30+ on that front court, Kobe would like to make a statement on Wade again especially with defense.

I'm pretty sure Marion is going to suit up. Either way the Heat should just lay down and have high hopes for the lottery. Draft Kevin Love and hope for the best.

Kobe vs. Wade ! Kobe has to shadow him !
Shaq isn't out there, but he's in Phoenix and I have to make the Phoenix game thread.

My first Lakers' game with Pau, I can't wait. If Kobe concentrates on playing defense and leaves the offense for Pau and Lamar downlow then this should be an easy win. The Heat have no interior defense at all.

I just realized something...

Is Marion playing/starting this game? and is Banks available? I need to fix if so. someone let me know, otherwise I'll fix later.

That said, ok maybe it won't be such a cake walk. Lamar would have to keep Marion in check. IMO Marion would want to have a big opening game on his new team's home court.

I saw on ESPN that Marion will suit up on Sunday's game. Should be exciting.

Guys, don't be so cocky and think that this will be a "walk in the park" and "we'll blow them out". Remember this is Marion and Wade we're talking about. We might win the game but it surely won't be a walk in the park. Wade will be psyched out that he has a new partner and Marion will want to showcase his skills to his new fanbase and team. I think this will be a tough game to win... but we'll win it.

I say 109-105 Lakers

GO LAKERS!!

I honestly hate hearing this stuff like "Kobe should let lamar and gasol take the majority of the shots and just play defense hard". No matter who we play, Kobe should always still stay aggressive and remain a constant threat. We've all seen how he and the team plays when he does that, we become "predictable" and its easier for teams to defend us.

Kobe should still come out strong and aggressive looking for his shot early, it makes it easier for him to find Gasol and others down the stretch as teams begin to really focus solely on him.
