Lakers: An international favorite now

ORLANDO, Fla. - One starting forward hails from Serbia and Montenegro. The starting center is from Spain. A backup shooting guard is from Slovenia. One reserve center is from France and another is from the Congo.
The Lakers always have been L.A.'s team, but now they might be the world's favorite, too, what with five foreign-born players among the 12 who dressed for Friday night's game against the Orlando Magic.
Vladimir Radmanovic (Serbia and Montenegro), Ronny Turiaf (France) and Sasha Vujacic (Slovenia) comprised a small group of European-born and trained players on the Lakers' roster when they opened training camp in Honolulu back in October.

Add Sun Yue to that roster and we have players from all the major continents up there. Good to have more fans from all over the world to add on to the Laker nation.

We should add Sam-I-Am and then it would be universal fan faves.

The lakers have been here in Aus lately watching Joe Ingles, probably our greatest potenital at the minute in the NBL. I herd they were pretty impressed, but I dont think he has the game for the NBA yet, but im sure he will play summer league and get drafted.

that article should have added that Kobe was raised in Italy, Turiaf was born in Martinique, and The Machine was sent back from the future by John Connor's grand Kids.

I hate when people still in 2008 bring the skin color of players.....
I am not trying to provoke anybody or start anything here...but its just said....
If you like the lakers .....the players skin color shouldnt matter...but then its only me
ALL I GO FOR IS THE LAKERS......

all jokes aside, that is another great tool for attracting free agents.
