Andrew Bynum has signed on with William Morris Agency in Beverly Hills to represent him in off-court marketing and endorsement opportunities.

The group will work in conjunction with Bynum's agent, David Lee, who will continue to work on his client's on-court deals.

Bynum can sign a maximum deal of five years, $75 million this summer with the Lakers.

Let's just hope this upcoming contract extension doesn't affect this kid's phenomenal growth.

Good for him and he needs to earn his extension by showcasing his talent in the playoffs. Buss will pay him the max though given that they value him higher than Kobe Bryant.

Do we have a choice but resign Bynum for max money? The only knock on him is this genetic issue w/ his knees. Kobe and Phil have publicly called him out and he's responded by working hard.

Really I'd like to give him that max money for 2 years then go from there, but we won't have a choice.

i'm hoping he signs for less than the max but if that's what it takes, so be it.

This worries me, we dont have endless money. We already have a ton of big contracts. We cant give everyone 15 million.

Max deal for Bynum? No not yet, 5yrs 50-55mil yes. When hes 25-26 years old is when he will get his 5yrs 100+mill contract just like Kobe and the rest of the young players in the league that panned out got before him.

Bynum will get the max, just like Dwight Howard got the max. Would Bynum get the max elsewhere? Yes. So he'll get the max here.

I think it depends on how he does in the playoffs. If continues to progress like before he was injured then id say we give him the max, maybe a little under the max for some flexibility. But I hope the rumors of his knee being worse isnt true. I hope he can come back really healthy and confident with his knee.

Keep our fresh core at all "costs".

Kobe, Bynum, and Gasol!
