Can any of you believe the bull from Stern threatening to suspend him if he didn't play the game. what a greedy greedy man. if it was leBrick, an exception would have been made.

Well just as Byron Scott said, take Kobe out on the first dead ball.

You got to find a loophole in the system

This is an NBA rule, not a thing against Kobe.

No, not any of this NBA vs. Kobe. Its pretty standard. Kobe is not on the injured list, so he must play ( show up) you are obligated to go. Its the same for everyone else.

No big deal at all.

I seem to remember Chuck Barkley trying to blow off the All-Star game back in 90 or 91, mainly because he simply didn't want to play, and the NBA put the guidelines in.

That's something I could see Byron Scott do. They have a good friendship from when Byron mentored Kobe when he was still a Laker.

Kobe should put on a fake cast and play with that, doing everything with his left hand only. That would be hilarious.

Yes the all-star game wouldn't be the same without Kobe, but I am sure that he wont do much and I expect to see many left hand attempts.

(by the way this is my first post, but Ive been a realgm spectator for a long time so I'm happy I finally get to post.)

David stern is trying not to make the nba all star game end up like the Pro Bowl were everyone fakes an injury not to play.

Kobe is too much of a competitor, he may want to dog it, but after the whistle he'll play for and win the MVP. Book it.

You might want to see an 4-18 performance, but I don't. By the way, that rule has been in place for years, it's not the NBA vs Kobe as the Kobe drama fans like to constantly point out.
