Dwight Howard Is A Freak

I am posting this as a challenge for the rest of you.
Try and name me an athlete in the history of athletics, yes I said athletics, that is more of a freak of nature and does things unearthly more often than Mr. Howard. Did you see his Superman dunk? First, this proves he can do a 360 on a 12 foot rim and a between the legs on a 11 1/2 foot rim. If you honestly think there is a bigger freak of nature out there, prove it. Try.
I dare you.
Because the man is a absolute STUD

That superman dunk was fake. That was not a dunk, he shot the ball in the hoop.

Dwight Howard is amazing, but Wilt Chamberlain and Shaquille O'Neal (in his prime, of course) were both every bit the athletes that he is. They were every bit as quick and explosive, yet they were also bigger.

by what would jack bauer do?
haha, can we please change the title of this thread to "Dwight Howard wins dunk contest with a lay-up".
But for reals he was the best dunker out there tonight. Just one of his dunks wasn't even a dunk. First off took off past the line he set and second it was a layup not a dunk. The pictures of him look incredible though... that would've been the greatest dunk of all time if really pulled it off.

Glad to see that's a photo of Wilt out on the track.
Everybody knows about his basketball exploits, but he could have been one of the greatest all-around track-and-field athletes the world had ever seen had he made that his priority.
He won the Big 8 high jump title with Kansas at 6-6, which is an incredible jump considering he had to get 7-foot-1 worth of limbs off the ground and over the bar. He could also broad jump 22 feet, which would be an outstanding mark with a running start in the long jump.
His coach at Kansas, according to the biography "Wilt: Larger Than Life," thought he had the stride to be a world class runner. Wilt was routinely timed at sub-50 seconds in the 400-meter dash; another amazing feat considering how tall and heavy he was.
I suspect he could also have been a great thrower considering his immense strength, especially after he got into weight lifting later in his career.
So in short, at 7-1, 250-300 pounds, with a wingspan of about 7-2 and track-caliber speed and strength, Wilt just might be the greatest physical specimen yet produced by the human race. A bold statement, but I can't think of anyone who combined all the qualities Wilt had in such a massive body.
Dwight's cape trick was nice, and he's a great player, but he's got a long way to go before he can be considered in that class.

Also, if you don't think some of the stuff Shaq used to pull in his prime was every bit as jaw-dropping as Dwight -- if not more so -- you must not have been paying attention.
See if you can pause this video of Shaq's alley-oop against Portland at the apex. This is an amazing display of raw athletic ability, maybe the best I've ever seen for a big man.

You're talking about a 7-foot-1, 330-pound center -- I'm being generous with the weight -- having enough lift and coordination to pull himself that high off the court, reach behind his head and with one hand cup a bad pass near the top of the square and flush it in one motion. All under duress, in the final minutes of the most pivotal game of the season.
Again, Dwight is a fantastic specimen. But Shaq did the same kind of damage for well over a decade, armed with a few inches and 80 or so pounds more.

I'm surprised that Rudy Gay doesn't know Jordan Farmar ! Stupid Gay ! When introducing asking Jordy :"What's your name ?".
I've lost all my respect for him ! Even couldn't introduce a bit better the sophomores !

So, so sick.
I feel blessed I got to watch that for almost a decade.
