Word on the street (chicago tribune) speculates that the Lakers are trying to get Caron Butler by giving up Lamar Odom.

Apparently, they don't think Lamar could defend and shoot at the SF position and want someone more tradition.

don't post a sam smith article. all he does is wildly speculate, no better than realgm's trade board.

There's like .001% chance that the Wiz trade Caron for Lamar, especially now that Caron has turned into an All-Star. It would be nice though.. hell yeah I'd welcome him back.

If i would welcome him back? I'd fly over from Europe and drive him from Washington to LA myself if it came down to that.

True. None of his stuff ever comes to fruition. Easy mistake.

Yeah sorry guys, Caron's gonna be with us for a long, long time...Ernie Grunfeld's no fool. Hell, he got you guys to take Kwame.

Kudos on the Gasol Trade. I'd pick the Lakers out of any team in the West now.

Nah, Odom's my boy and he's the perfect and ideal third option. He does all the little things like passing and rebounding

Caron got us Kwame who in turn got us Gasol. Mitch sure knows how to mix his mistakes.

Yeah, they way you guys got Gasol is awesome. You guys are gonna have some twin towers when Bynum gets back.

I know I would but come on it's Sam Smith for god sake. Who the hell takes him in any percent seriously.

We should re-sign Kwame again and trade him for LeBron this time.

at this point, nah

caron would need the ball as well besides Kobe Gasol and Bynum in order to be effective IMO. Lamar doesn't need the ball and to score in order to make a difference.

Besides, I just really want artest if anything.

NO. This guy was a perfect example of a guy that can't bear the weight of a Laker jersey. He was incosistent and only started playing well when the season was already down the drain. That's why he excels in Washington, there's no pressure to win.
