”The Main Matchup”

-=-=-=-=-> Lamar Odom Vs. Amare Stoudemire <-=-=-=-=-

Lamar has to continue his great job on boards. That’s the most interesting matchup because they’re both great rebounders, decent defenders. A great defensive game by Lamar should propel the Lakers to a win. Amare is deadly in the paint with the ball facing the basket. Lamar has to try avoid that as much as possible.

Keys to beat the Suns :

To force Nash to be a shooter rather than a distributor
Defense, defense and once again defense. Playing well in defense against Suns may give us good chances to win this game
Run our own game and not play as they want you to do
Pound it inside because they’re weak there, even with the addition of Shaquille.

Go Lakers !!!

Suspension LIFTED.....WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

GREAT WIN last night and tonight is when we need to show the suns just what giving up the matrix will cost them. We smashed them in phoenix once this year and we need to hand them more of the same.

I know kobe will be hyped and the rest of the roster should fall into line and play just as hard. At this point the rest of the season should be played at MAXIMUM PLAYOFF INTENSITY due to the upgrade of talent in the west.

OUR PLAYOFFS STARTS TONIGHT>

I'm amp'd for this game. Call it a hunch but I expect a really good game out of Turiaf. I expect him to get one monster block on Shaq.

Looking forward to this game to see where we stand in the west. It's funny how out of the 4 recent big name trades, 3 of the key players have made their debut against us(Marion,Bibby,Shaq).

Lets be real here, the key to the game is getting Amare in foul trouble early. Run a lot of early plays through Gasol and Odom so he can get into early foul trouble. Also foul that guy in the middle, I heard he can't shoot free throws(wink wink) Nash alone can't win the game. I must admit, I would have loved to see Bynum in this game, oh well I guess Shaq will have to deal with the wrath of........

DJ Mbenga!!!

i'm expecting a loss tonight. andrew bynum's absence is going to be felt when amare is matched up against lamar instead of pau.

I actually expect Odom to have a great game (on the D end in particular).

I realize I may be very wrong on this one, esp given his inability to guard KG and other high caliber power forwards. However, I think Amare's lack of a true face-up game will allow Odom to keep him off balance offensively.

On the other side of the ball, there is just no way Amare can stay in front of Lamar. Lamar has to be willing to go right, not necessarily to finish at the basket (which he struggles at doing on his right side) but just to keep Amare honest and make the defense move after LO blows by him.

Despite the highly anticipated shift of Amare to PF, I look for LO to be the shining star in this one.
