Remember Andrew Bynum!!!!

Post#1 » by Chubby Chaser » Wed Feb 27, 2008 9:28 am

Well, it's been so long since Andrew has stepped on the court that I almost forgot how much of an improvement he's made. So much has changed with the lakers since he's been out that I kind of forgot what Andrew brings to the table. I started to look up some highlights of drew to jog the memory back. If there's one thing that he is head and shoulder better above Pau, it's his defense and agressiveness when attacking the rim. It was also alot easier to score, because everyone just threw the ball in the vicinity of the rim and he'd finish it. Can't wait until he comes back and we get to unleash both Drew and Pau onto the NBA.

Enjoy!

I loved watching those dunks against the pistons and spurs, cos when they were in game they just came out of no where. It highlights the work he put in the off season to improve his strength and athletic ability that he has the mentality now to finish like that around the ring. I just hope he comes back ready with that mentality still and that his knee doesnt play on his mind.

Yeah I know what you mean. It's almost like we've had two different seasons this year. One with bynum and one with Pau. I've gotten so used to playing with Pau I kind of forgot how ferocious Bynum's style is now. It's refreshing. Can't wait until the kid comes back! With Pau's soft touch and finesse, and with Bynum now playing like a beast and ferocity, we can have our NBA version of "thunder and lightning" that you normally see in football with two running backs. It's going to be awesome.

I hope he comes back with all that athleticism and quickness and not gimpy. I have had the same injury so I am hopeful but please don't let there be any permanent problems.

Unless Phil Jackson is as stubborn and bad at player rotations as I fear he is sometimes there is no reason to chop Gasol's legs off to make Bynum look taller.
Gasol is a natural PF who can even give you minutes at the 3 and will play perfectly next to Bynum and they will probably make each other better so you don't need to make them compete against each other.
They will both start together and if they don't right away they will be come playoff time.
I am not sure if you guys know this but Gasol was brought in to be the pf not make Bynum expendable.
