What font is used in the lakers logo

OP, I really doubt the Lakers logo has a preset font. Doesn't it have serifs and wind lines? Looks designed to me.
Maybe you could find one that's closest to it, which would probably have to be italicized.
I would ask Trixx, or APOS, he works with sigs, particularly Laker sigs

its a logo. Their is no official font. Their are imitations though.

Arial Black.
No really most logos from that era were designed from scratch by a graphic designer. Back then there was no photoshop or font library. They used rulers and typography.

Yup, no available font is used for any team logos.
They are all custom logos that would need to be recreated to use them, but that would be illegal.
They are all trademarked fonts that shouldnt be available to the public.

i remember seeing that the font on the front of the jersey was an actual font/ or had been re-created. ah well ill have to keep looking
