Lebron 30/8/8 with young legs is probably the best player in the league right now. That is w/o all the politics that define what a league MVP is.

I love Kobe, but I don't think there's a better all around player right now than LBJ. A big part of this has to do with LBJ's youth.

Stats can be so decieving. People don't realize that Lebron is pretty much PG on that team so he's always the playmaker with the ball. Kobe could easily do this and rack up just as many assists if not more. That assist number for lebron is padded big time.

If kobe held the ball on every posession he'd have just as many PPG and assists. i would rather Kobe have the ball then Lebron any day.

I think great players are made in the playoffs and finals. I cant wait to see what LeBron does with his new look Cavs. Kobe and the Lakers are going to be something else to watch. After these playoffs we should be able to tell who is truely better.

I dont want to be hearing LeBron doesnt have "a GOOD SUPPORTING CAST".. The Cavs surrounded him with veteran big men and two solid guards. I will not be a believer in LeBron if he doesnt carry them to the ECF at least. While Kobe and Company should at least make it to the WCF.

Playoffs is where the brighter of the two will shine.

his free throwing and outside shooting are horrible and defense isnt up to par with kobe, whose year in and year out a 1st team all nba on defense
thats what separates kobe from lebron

kobe is still head over heals better than lebron...maybe one day lebron will be, but today, and i seriously think for the next 3 seasons, kobe will be the man.
lebron will break records and do his thing, but think about it....

the game is tied, theres 3 seconds left in NBA finals game 7...who would u rather have taking the last shot? lebron? or kobe?...i think kobe.

kobe is just flat out, the best baller we've seen since jordan. dont get me wrong tho, lebron's up next.

Dam , I had no idea Kobe was Old ......
You make it sound like LB's some kid in J.C and Kobe's about to collect Social Security ...........

Come on Mang ............. Kobe is playing with a Jacked up hand and he's still dropping 40-50 point games ..........

With age comes experience , wisdom and Knowledge , something LB needs to work on .

The funny thing is I used to think I was being homer by picking kobe, but the more I look at it,and see the opinions of not only lebron and other players, but of former players. I know I am right in calling kobe the best player right now. Lebron is great, but kobe already put up 35 a game. kobe could get as many dimes as lebron if he had the ball as much, and for all of lebron physical talents,he only get's two more boards a game. homer or not I am taking kobe all day everyday.

Kobe is not old. MJ for example won his first title aged 28 and how the rest of his career went is now history. Kobe has only begun entering his prime, imo.

Lebrick will break any possible record in the league in the future, but this season belongs to Mamba.

If Lebron ever breaks the single game 3-point shooting record then I will retire.

As of today I take Kobe over Bron. However, if Bron take develop his outside shot than that would be scary

I think Kobe is the MVP, but one thing to think about is that the Cavs are something like 0-7 without LeBron in the lineup.
