The Dan Patrick Show (today 3-6-08)
Dan asked Baron who he though was the MVP. Baron answers:
#1 Kobe
#2 Garnett
#3 Lebron
Dan then asks if Kobe can drop 50 points anytime he wants to.
Baron replies "Yeah."
Dan then says, "Can Kobe drop 50 points on you?"
Baron: "Um, yeah pretty much... I'm a Kobe Bryant fan!"
Baron said he's such a big Kobe fan, that he was going to name his twins Kobe and Bryant.
Dan asked Baron if he was having twins, Baron said not yet but hopefully soon in the next 10 years.

Man, and to think how available he was in New Orleans. Traded for Speedy Claxton and Dale Davis. Hey, Gasol was one of the lopsided trades in league history, but Baron Davis's trade to Golden State isn't far behind.
Baron was just being funny about the naming his kids thing, but I'm not surprised at Baron Davis's love for KB, remember Kobe was trying to get the Lakers to get him from New Orleans?
Dude grew up in L.A. too, so you know he's got the Lakers deep in his heart.
Can't think of too many ways he can end up a Laker though. He's the most important guy for GS. That being said, he was the man in New Orleans too, until he was semi-dogging it and wanted to get on a better team.
Maybe if GS misses the playoffs, maybe another injury, maybe Nellie gets fired or steps down (I think the next year is not guaranteed), things can happen.

You'd be surprised.
Some on the GS board disagree with that.

No, I wouldn't be surprised. Warriors fans tend to get pretty hyped about their individual players, especially after big games. I've seen that happen with even Matt Barnes. Stephen Jackson too, and now Monta Ellis.
Hell, I've seen it even on this forum. After Bynum posted up several 20-10's in a row, some people were saying the Lakers were Bynum's team.

I am trying to get my wife to let me name our son Kobe if we have one but so far the only headway I have made is the dog and maybe the middle name of a second child.
She wants Michael (not for MJ) and I am pretending that won't happen so I can say fine then it's Michael Kobe and that will have to be good enough.

It seems like he was being sarcastic and is fed up with everybody talking about Kobe. This was his back handed way of letting it out publically.

My twins were born in 2000 - and we nicknamed them Shaq & Kob. Then they started squabbling but we couldn't trade one, apparently the law doesn't allow it. Now we call them Kob & Machine.
